AI Gamemode?

Should we have a game mode where players fight against an enemies that are entirely AI instead of pvp, similiar to the COD campaign, but without missions.

PvE mode, a way to introduce good old campaign system and historical accuracy without the need to worry about Balance

To begin with the topic I need to say that I honestly always disliked competitive multiplayer games the only reason for me to play those is an interesting setting, and a way to try out interesting armaments. The reason I was playing TF2, Battlefield 1 or CoD Cold War. Well Enlisted is one of these games. Custom match, you and your bot squad vs all bots. You choose the number of bots, the level of difficulty, the map and the game mode. The past couple months I have almost lived there as I just got tired of human players who don’t build rally points, who don’t try and capture or defend cap points and Dev’s who totally ignored all my thumbs up and thumbs down requests. So, I don’t worry about that in my own little world now.

i’m kinda a huge advocate for PVEs and through mods, i do occasionally release said PVE mods.

problem is,
the AI in current state is not ideal for PVEs.

currently are mostly there to fill players role in case someone disconnects.

but for proper AIs and a decent pve ( in Men of war style, or even AAA like battlefield AI )

they still need to:

• being able to construct and use emplacements
• counter more efficiently tanks
• be able to destroy rally points ( … that sometimes are literally 5 feets away from the bot and he just pretend it’s nto there )
• increase number of tanks
• effectively engage targets that are in between objectives and the approach they are taking ( as sometimes they just walk in a straight line just to get gunned down, and do the same
  ( same with clearing out houses, or defending objectives. they all stand in the same place and don’t spread out or attack from different directions )
• deploy more efficiently smoke artilleries and smoke grenades to coinceil their approach
• code AI airplanes that strifes and / or generally deals with aerial threats
• better profiles ( / equipment )

which it’s quite ton of work i’m not sure they are willing to make.

and last but not least,
AI don’t really work well with current game modes.

you need dedicated ones and increase the number of how many AI there are.

AI can only become challenging if outnumbers the player.
or have dedicated gamemode ( that isn’t WT tower defense )
