2 reasons; .50s and betties are prone to fire
Well, Japan has better bombs.
So it’s look few asymmetric.
the bombers in pacifc are A-20G’s and G4M1’s. A-20 has .50’s while the G4M1 has 20mm’s
If the gunners on jpn weren’t so drunk on sake i wouldn’t be able to shoot them down and as it stands i have to use almost all 1,800 of the .50 on my F4F-3 wildcat to take down just one of them because im pretty sure DF accidentally nerfed ALL .50 when they nerfed the M13 4 times now with 2 of those nerfs being to the .50 ammo.
Otherwise i would have to rely on luck to down one of them such as one incident in which i managed to force on bomber to fly slightly lower from losing engine power and it went head on into an A-20 which was funny to see happen
