I was playing Normandy as Allie’s and heard “enemy bombers inbound.” I immediately despawned and took up my P-38. I rushed to the area they spawned and was able to shoot every single plane down before 1 bomb was dropped.
So I think they are in a good spot. The problem now is that nobody wants to take up a plane and be proactive by shooting them down. Instead they keep playing infantry and complain when they get bombed to the stone age.
Take the time to spawn a plane and shoot them down. It will really help your team. With some of the late campaign planes they go down fairly easy.
I could be wrong but it seems they give out good amount of XP too.

I agree, but Hispanos on Tempest you run out of ammo, unless really close, they are better but not enough for 5 planes, I kill 3 have to rearm.

Not every people have multiple vehicle slot, if they does they probably won’t waste it on fighter.
I am far more successful with shooting them down with the AA than with an airplane. I guess it’s server desync? Sometimes I aim for the engine and it just won’t blow off, amazing. With the AA it is a matter of 3 or 4 shots per airplane.
uhh, shooting them down is good, but sometimes, lying down or keeping out of the zone is pretty much all you need…
Maybe for you and your squad. But what about other half of team that gets clapped and leaves your objective undefended?
Been teased with the same thing on Moscow with the MiG-3. An absolute blast to fly, the 20mm ShVAKs are devastating…but you’re only giving me 200 rounds!!! C’mon man! I’ll ditch the parachute, my pants, the survival kit and the flight suit if it’ll score me another 40-50 rounds.
I did hit the sweet spot earlier, clipped the wing off the lead bomber, he started rolling hard to starboard and took out the next bomber on that side.
It felt as good as you’d think it would.

I was using the ii16 as my go to before update, had 2000 rounds and could annoy tanks with rockets, but they lacked any punch. I’m a collector and love flying, so put the Lagg in my lineup, it has similar gun round count to the mig3 plus a very innacurate 37mm cannon, which is main reason, but now can’t dogfight well, I was thinking put ii16 and mig in my line up, drop the Lagg, the bomber formations are fun and necessary to take down, on other campaigns I have my lineups, it’s just Moscow allies I’m still struggling with. (I don’t want to use attacker if I can help it, fighters/ interceptor was build for that purpose killing bombers)
