Adoption of the SVT-40

Stop arguing upstairs. Next month is Victory Day, and there will be discounts. Hopefully, everyone will be generous and support Enlisted then, instead of endlessly arguing about limited-edition collectibles that aren’t currently discounted.

I didn’t feel scammed in the slightest… i gladly paid 50$ for an extremely rare squad that i’ve only seen maybe less than 5 times… you aren’t the targeted audience and that’s fine… id advise to quit complaining about it for those that are… we run so you can walk

First the idiot above you doesn’t stop claiming that I only play Soviets and that I am biased because I like Soviet body armor ( my god, how stupid can you be )

And now you claim that premiums aren’t for me and I should stop complaining.

Did people on this forum lost the ability to read?

Pardon me for sparking discourse here… i think you were just simply stating what you believe which it is a fact these are overpriced.

You don’t get to play both sides of the fence and then expect people to get which one you are actually in favor of… which i still don’t know… you think the prices are ridiculous but you still buy them?

However, yes… i’m assuming when making that comment i just read the first sentence and then responded as such.

Bro XDDD. I cant take you serious with that type of argumentation, when u cant take a simple scenario as example “when it can be a scam” lol. The “pathetic” word hurt’s so bad that u need to repeat it in your answer? and trying to call me poor bc I dont want to waste 50 dolars for sh*tty tank seriously? Even if it would’be for free i rather take t-50

Maybe a scam is to strong word, but you’re trying to convince everyone here its a fair price - bc “Its a collectible”, u cant even argument your own statement, bc you’re just focusing on attacking someone who call it a “scam” lol.

Btw you’re the guy who creates a tales - writing a statements about me far away from truth.

Well, I was okay with that ridiculous price because I wanted to support the game, but from a monetization perspective I actually still believe the devs are making a mistake - if a 50 dollar prem squad would cost 10 dollars instead ( totally reasonable price), many players would buy little goodies here and there.

But I guess this isn’t the core of the discussion, rather people specifically claim the pricing to be a scam, which is a bad description in my mind.

Even the worst semi-automatic, or one with its rate of fire nerfed, still has a velocity roughly 100 m/s faster than the Chauchat.

Calling this light machine gun a semi-automatic is an insult to semi-autos.

I honestly can’t see any reason why this thing shouldn’t be at BR 1.

Why stick to the rule that machine guns can’t go below BR 1?

After watching real-life firing demonstrations of the Chauchat, I think this weapon is beyond saving with any buffs.

Unless they drastically improve its horizontal stability and recoil.

It’s even worse than the unrepaired Madsen. It’s basically just a collectible item at this point.

If they really add this to the Allied tech tree in the next update, I think players would just wave it off and say they’d rather have a decent plane instead.

Lol, I cant agree more - this machine gun is so bad
You cant even aim standing - it got less bullets and same dmg as madsen.
They’re could create a new section “collectible” not a premium
Its even more ridiculous situation than with Valentine

Ever heard of the “Night Witches” premium?

well at least that one is unique unlike that one johnson premium squad that used to be exclusive back before merge

legit other than collection i have no idea why anyone would buy that one

Yeah, this machine gun is exactly what even US troops in WWI would rather ditch for rifles. In the demo video, it jammed three rounds in a row. In the game, the recoil is just like a full-power bolt-action rifle. Horizontal and vertical recoil are all over the place, like drawing circles. I’m really impressed by DF’s sales tactics—total monopoly-style strong-arming. I’m curious how this game still has people spending money on it.

Starting with that Soviet premium SMG, they’ve released premium squads in the past six months then just abandoned them. They don’t even care how they perform. If it’s broken, it stays broken.

Sometimes with their skills and work ethic, I feel like they deserve low pay. But it’s probably more about insane work pressure and idiotic management making everyone slack off, and the players end up suffering for it.

You just reminded me of that Normandy signaller with the Johnson rifle. The Johnson unlocks really late in Normandy, but much earlier in Tunisia, so they just copy-pasted it to sell again… So lazy.

Well it is unique…

Honestly it’s pretty good (in br2) if you know how to use it.

It’s also one, if not the first, premium squad ever released in Enlisted. I think axis counterpart was mp18 but not certain anymore.

I use it as a semi. With 20 rounds. 20 rounds semi is something in br2.

It received a LOT of accuracy buffs over the years.

I think this was part of a bundle with the MG30, right? Looking back, the MG30 is an insanely rare, great LMG. The Chauchat, though, is total garbage.

Ever since the pre-order packs at launch, DF has stuck to this unwritten rule: one of the two squads in every bundle is always complete trash, just to mess with players.

It’s actually very effective once you get used to the sights and recoil.

Axis counterpart was mg 30. Mp 18 was in normandy campaign as a counterpart for m50 reising squad

It’s really frustrating. Back when the Madsen had 35 horizontal and vertical recoil, I had no choice but to use the Chauchat and the RPK with its tiny ammo pool.

Now the Madsen’s been fixed, and the enemy MG 13 is already great as it is. Why would I still bother with these?

The meta has changed, so the guns need to change too. Look at card games like Hearthstone—when new cards get stronger, old ones get reworked. The Chauchat deserves the same treatment.

It’s just unplayable in the current meta. If you’re gonna sell these squads, don’t just bank on their collectible value. This game doesn’t have a market like War Thunder, so they’re barely worth anything.

The German premium LMG squads have the MG 30 (unobtainable), MG 13 (75-round mag), MG 42/45—all solid, even overpowered.

Now look at the Soviet premium squads? Total garbage. I main the Soviets and it hurts that I can’t field 5–6 usable premium squads for grinding like other nations.
(Even if a US BR 2 squad is strong, you’re still 100% gonna get screwed by braindead teammates anyway.)

Mmmh.
I’m not completely agreeing here.

Why does one ABSOLUTELY NEED to play meta?

I like the Chauchat because it’s funny, not half bad, and a real piece of history.

Yeah, it’s just terrible.
This game does adjust stats sometimes, like when they fixed the Madsen and changed its sights. This gun is genuinely bad, and it should’ve been a BP reward for the Allies. But since they’re selling it, they owe it to the players to make it decent.

They clearly didn’t even test it properly. In real life, it jammed constantly.
But in Battlefield 1 and 5, it was actually pretty good!

I just want this gun to be viable so people actually use it.
I don’t want it to be some niche weapon that only drags down your match performance.
I haven’t seen anyone use it in ages, because anyone using it usually gets picked off by SMGs.

It’s absolutely playable. It doesn’t perform like a normal MG - slow fire rate, awkward recoil, and those damn sights - but in certain situations, it’s very solid for a BRII MG. Unless it’s braced, fire in 2-3 shot bursts. It’s way more controllable that way.

I don’t sell the squads.

Oh come on now, we all know that it doesn’t matter which faction you play, you’re always dependent on good team mates, and sometimes you get terrible teammates. It’s just luck of the draw.
