Remove the ability and therefore command for AI soldiers to break down friendly structures. It is happening far too frequently where friendly AI go up and break down ammo boxes, sandbag walls, etc without their commanding player giving the order intentionally. If something needs to be destroyed, the player themself can do it.

AI commands need to differentiate between being placed on the floor/ ground, or placed on a wall.
If placed on the floor/ ground, the AI will gather around that location. Pretty simple.
However, if it is placed on a wall, they will press up against that wall from whichever side the mark was placed. This keeps them from stupidly running outside to be near the mark while still making them stand somehere other than the middle of the room.

Additionally this could open up the opportunity to command your troops to take up stations along a wall with windows, and focus on targets through the windows, while maintaining cover at their sides to reload and such. Improving their efficiency significantly if the player is smart about where they place their commands. Even more so if they can use this with sandbag walls as well since they will no longer be breaking them down.

This keeps it fairly simple without needing to add a whole lot of extra UI to the game like I’ve seen in other posts. (Don’t get me wrong, I still support more in depth commands, but this suggestion is to make them more useful at a basic level so that less players are just leaving their troops in a dark corner and using them 1 at a time).

Similar idea would apply to trenches both default to the map as well as player dug trenches. If the mark is placed in the center, they simply group up there. However if the mark is made on the inner wall/ edge of it, the AI troops will attempt to take cover on that side and more actively engage targets on that side.
