Most of the grenades are simply not used, as they aren’t as strong as explosive packs or frags. These are my recommendations for the various grenades.
Smoke - needs to have a slightly increased area of dispersion. Sometimes it seems like it blocks AI from shooting through it, sometimes it doesn’t. Given how strong the aim of bots are, this should be a standard thing. Blocking AI from shooting through smoke (at least accurately) would increase its usage significantly.
Molotov- for the most part it works fine, the only issue is that its the favorite of trolls, that intentionally use it to kill their own teammates. Perhaps reducing the damage of friendly fire would help.
Frags- currently have pretty much the largest blast radius, and is supposedly primarily for infantry purposes. However, with the blast radius it has, it is also decimating fortifications way more effectively than it should. Remove its ability to destroy fortifications unless it is directly on them.
Impacts- I rarely see them used, even though they are supposed to be pretty much the same as frags. They should be nearly identical to frags, minus perhaps a little less radius, and the same suggested rule against fortifications. This would likely increase their usefulness as it could be used more directly against specific fortifications.
Explosive pack- probably the most used grenade in the game. It can be used against infantry, tanks, and fortifications. However, from my experience it has far too large of a blast radius when it comes to infantry and fortifications. It should not be capable of penetrating through sandbags. Destroying one layer is fine, but breaking multiple layers of sandbags in one go makes them too OP.
TNT when it is available is the only thing that should be able to blast multiple layers of sandbag protections in one go, as it cannot be thrown.
