Addition of Guerilla to Squad upgrade tree

The squad upgrade tree should offer the choice of adding a Guerilla to some squads as a soldier option. With tanks that are allowed to greyzone, you should have the ability to send a squad soldier to take them out. We have the ability to choose the additions of Engineers, Radioman, AT, Snipers, Machine Gunners…why not a Guerilla? Before everyone says those are Partisan, add a Guerilla III which is a Recon Assaulter…it was a real class. Then together with my other posts of Combat Engineers and Sappers, greyzoning is balanced.
Not everyone wants whole Guerilla squads taking up squad slots as they are only Guerillas and have no engineers.

I would need to have one Guerilla squad for each BR in all factions but the above would be too OP

One in a squad is OP? With the amount of spammed HE nowadays…they might not even survive a spawn lol

You would end up with them flooding into your spawn not being able to leave it. Greyzone exists for a reason, and there are many other ways to destroy a tank than just Guerrillas. Not to mention it wont work properly as even if you leave bots in one place, playing as Guerrilla they will just start following you and die inside of enemy greyzone

That is true…but for some reason the game won’t let artillery be called into the greyzone, tanks have to drive 1/2 way across the map to get in range, pilots get filled and sometimes they aren’t effective pilots and they plug up slots…this at least offers players a chance.
Bots can be left at the edge of the greyzone while the Guerilla runs in.

I actually would like it., but it shouldnt be able to be called upon spawn points

Not really, as there is a certain range in which they can be left behind, after you get too far from them (which isnt any big distance) they will just drop the order and follow you to their deaths

I agree for not on spawn points fot sure.

I think they should widen the range for the entire map for how far you can go from your squad. If they did then it would give the Guerilla the added bit of range they needed to throw an explosive pack or whatnot.

You can order them to stay at a capture zone and they’ll do that, with the expected AI stupidity in positioning and reactions of course.

The spawn area makes that harder as it kills any enemy inside it. Open maps have the problem of being open but in a lot of cases the spawn can be seen if you’re positioned correctly while still not in the GZ

That could work but I still think that ability for everyone to have them in every squad would too annoying, its a mixed arms game and I wouldnt like to have my tank blown up seconds after I spawn just because greyzone campers exist

And is there a difference? Wow I didnt knew, maybe I will have to give a try some time soon

Not what I meant, these are still just small circles and you would end up pinned down in them with the massive exploitation of new battle space that would follow after introduction of Guerilla’s to every squad.
Even if they couldnt outgun anyone all together, they still would be able to place lots of explosives on the ground and you would never be able to leave. It would happen because you can just have 2 tanks in an entire team, if they would be destroyed (very fast with an army of random guerrillas running around) their attention would naturally shift to spawn points.

I would much rather have greyzone done in a less “border” like manner than it is today, when it would only “radiate” and extend from enemy spawn points giving them enough of free space to join the battle without any problem and not by cutting entire map in half

Not gonna happen

Not every squad…just like Assaulters and AT who woulb naturally go after the tanks.

My squad would end up dying all the time.

Because bots would follow me into grey zone after panicking they don’t see me after I run 50m away…

The recent event gave you an idea what this would be like, if you were axis tank, you survived for about 2 mins before troops behind enemy lines blew them up! No thanks keep it to a particular squad, see it less often.

The simple solution is just to add a second gorilla squad, that way you can have one for each br in 5 and 2. Or if you really wanted you could swap their weapons out and put both of them in the same BR. The next one should be BR4/5. Weapons would be exclusive to end of the war trash that some factions have made to fight or to more niche/not busted weapons that are lesser known but still took part.
