First the gun needs to be held that is in hands and not on a bipod or a tripod. Second an infantry caliber bullet and not a cannon shell the soldier needs to be able to handle the recoil. These models already exist in game and it is not the first time a machine gun has been converted from armored or air warfare to the infantry in real life and enlisted.

These are not suggestions in themselves but to get the idea rolling of adding more guns to enlisted without adding prototypes. i would also like to see more suggestions with reasonable magazines. that is 25 50 75 100 i do not want to see 150 200 250 as we lack a br 6 7 8. again i am jot suggestion the breta 38 i am using it an example of guns that exist in game that could with as much effort as the type 97 at rifle be fire by a soldier.

MG 81 Infantry (Early)

The MG 81 Infantry (Early) was added to the game in the Update “Jet Power” in April 2025 and is available in the German tech tree at Tier 5. The gun appears to be the early variant, as it lacked the flash hider and featured the mechanical sight, although without the anti-aircraft front sight. The bipod also appears to be mounted at the front part of the barrel, attached to the barrel itself via a sleeve, rather than mounted in the ball harness near the receiver.

Sure remove the stock and bipod, change the barrel and sites, also missing something in front of the trigger guard
MG 81 (BR V)

sorry you are right it is in the game the picture of the real gun is a different model while the one in game is the same, the in game model looks like a blend of the bomber gun and the infantry model

its hard to tell but the infantry version has a different barrel site and even the main receiver is different, the bipod attachment hides a lot of the barrel but they the air holes are different. enlisted has taken artistic license with more than one gun before.
