Market garden is Asymmetric in that both sides are not given access to the same resources. The US got paratroopers as the Germans get tanks and APC’s. While the map was poorly balanced leading to game that could last less than three minutes.

While imperfect it is far better than the prearranged squads on boring maps. This makes many maps and events feel the same as other events and maps. This also breaks emersion as many battles lacked one or more elements or possessed elements not in the game.
D-Day and many pacific battles were amphibious battles. The ability of the allies to say land at any spot on the beach. This in turn would give the Germans the ability to sink landing ships or kill soldiers in the ship. Not of course as soon as they spawn that would ignore the gray zone and be spawn killing but that is what testing is for.

Another idea would be to make a map were Japan spawns in concealed locations. Like a sniper in a palm tree, good for concealment bad for getting out of the way of any explosions. Japan would lack tanks or air support as it is hard to hide an airfield or a tank. But would gain Mines and trenches and bunkers.

Another paratroop even with a glider mechanic for armored vehicles. Perhaps a map with a larger bridge or any map designed for air dropping soldiers. The defenders would have check points and the attacker’s landing sites that were not so far from the objective that you would be better of spawning on the ground.

I also wish we had asymmetrical balance in faction strengths, even weapon types/classes available and not forced symmetricals balance using prototypes and captured weapons (everyone has german at weapons for example).
I dont want any events like the precious one anymore, really disliked it. Would rather have the old event structure back.
Planes do not balance gray zone tanks in a game with 3 infantry slots and one vehicle slot by default when any base player is bringing a tank. the us would need to brinkg a ‘paper’ at rocket as the m9 is not balanced against the tiger 2 either of them. if youre chill with paper us/ussr/japan paper at weapons yeah they dont need German AT weapons.
Most assymetrical balance suggestions are just ‘suffer if you don’t use X on Y faction’ and ‘suffer because you have to face X against Y faction’
Assymetrical balance should be encapsulated within certain weaponry classes because if you try to balance the weaponry classes assymetrically you are essentially forcing people to play one certain playstyle for the faction
God forbid a certain nations gimmic is having good planes because it means 8/10 players are just suffering because they didn’t get to grab a plane as the game started, while the other side cannot play planes at all because they suffer against air superiority

Pershing should have never been added.
Their air support dealt with T2 just fine and it’s laughable with the jets.
now just add a free plane slot so it matters, no br5 select fire should be in game fg42 paratrooper lmg, which is as much a rifle as the BAR
