Adding Korean War Maps to BR V, as well as adding late 50s/early 60s weapons to a BR VI

I Would like to suggest that the Korean War be added as BR V maps and a new BR VI for that 50s & early 60s period guns and conflicts. During this period I would suggest treating the Allies & Japan as a combined team for queuing, along with Axis forces to be on both the “NATO” Queue for lack of a better name as well as the Warsaw Pact/Comintern Queue to represent the split between East and West Germany.

I Think this change would allow for additional content to the game as well, as expanding every factions tech tree

Nope. This is a WW2 game. It goes without saying how much content from this war we have yet to have.

I mean War Thunder was a WW2 game until it wasn’t. additionally short of barely functional prototypes that never saw mass production, (like the Turner Carbine, and Lewis Assault Rifle) there’s not much to add to either the US or Axis Tech Tree. since all the major service weapons of WW2 are currently in the game.

I would also be in favor of adding the All Loud on the Western Front to the game as part of the main Squads mode as well since there’s plenty of WW1 guns that could be in the game without much issue

I think other wars would be fun in this game but I don’t want that for a long long time if not never

We do have many firearms, but there are still tons of vehicles to be added. Plus maps and battles.

Add Korean War Maps and Weapons to BR V and a BR VI

I’d like to see the Cold War in the game, but only as a separate “campaign.” WWII and later conflicts shouldn’t intersect under any circumstances. There’s already that god-awful War Thunder for that, where everything’s jumbled together - horses, people… I don’t want a second game where Panthers and modern howitzers roll around side by side.

The only thing I would accept for now is a Korean War event like the WW1 event. Just for fun

Very unlikely to happen consider that it will be cover by War Thunder infantry mode.

That’s why I suggested Korean War for end of BR V and more likely BR VI, because the only thing that should be able to be down tiered from that time period is smaller things like AK-47 (Which were in the same trials as the AS-44 and honestly both are equally ridiculous In WW2) and the M46 Patton which is basically just a Pershing with a better engine

but aside from those weapons, the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, BAR, M1919, M1911, and M4 Shermans, were still in front line UN infantry service, and the M91/30 Mosin, SVTs, T34s, et cetera, within the Comintern Forces. so for the most part the weapons of WW2 were commonly in service into the Korean War

This game should have ERA too tbh so that way TT are still a thing but weapon can progress. Then they can add new faction without them appearing in WW2. (I.E. Chinese and Vietnamese)

I do know China fought in WW2 but im talking about Korean war and Vietnam war.

Absolutely not. As a standalone campaign - good. As a continuation of the BR ranks - no way.

Honestly that’s not a bad Idea, of adding a hard queue option so you don’t get Sabres and MiG 15s in the air over WW2. Also that way if your just not interesting in the later modes you don’t get any overlap

China was mostly fighting the Japanese and each other, since WW2 and the Second Sino-Japanese were occurring at the same time, and China was kind of split between the Nationalists and the Maoists, so while they were fighting the Japanese there was a fair amount of infighting as well.

As far as Vietnam, same problems with Japan as with China, since the Japanese Occupied Indochina at the start of WW2, WW2 ended and France attempted to Reclaim their Indochinese Colonies in the 50s, and the Vietnam War that we often think of in the popular Zeitgeist is when the US entered the war in full in the mid 60s. so if they decided to add the Vietnam War it would either be the french fighting in the 50s (with a lot of WW2 Veterans and Equipment) so BR V or VI, or it would be in the 60s and 70s and that would have to be much farther up the tree

Here you go no need of BR VI:

You can set the Korean War as a limited-time event, but you absolutely cannot turn the Cold War into an everyday occurrence in Enlisted. This isn’t War Thunder; we don’t need WWII weapons to fight Cold War weapons. Just look at World of Tanks. Your suggestion is tantamount to killing the game.

This is a topic we have heard since day one of the beta and CBT period, The devs have also given firm stance saying that they will never release content post 1946. That this is strictly world war II when it will never go beyond that. I’m not sure why people keep asking for something the devs say that they will never do. Is it just repeatedly pressuring them until they give in?? Because I don’t think the devs will, some stuff they have but they’ll never do it when it comes to leaving world war II. They’ve been firm about that since day one that’s never changing.

First off nice name.

But secondly, I wasn’t aware the devs had taken such a firm stance on the issue. I think a lot of the reason people keep requesting it, or at least why I requested it, is because it seems like the natural evolution of the tech tree.

just WW2 ends into Korean War and Cold War since its the period just afterwords. plus given its published by Gaijin and War Thunder did go all the way to modern probably is another reason people probably think it might. granted I get peoples concern about War Thunder silliness of a modern self-propelled gun being in BR 4 with Panzers IV, but even if Enlisted went to modern I don’t think that would be an issue since with the infantry dynamics it makes vehicles more than just their armor protection and main gun
