I propose incorporating division- and unit-specific insignia on the helmets and uniforms of German and American soldiers in the game. Each helmet could feature a unique insignia representing the unit to which the soldier belongs, while uniforms could feature distinctive markings, medals, and decorations to reflect experience and achievements in the field. These additions would not only serve to enhance immersion, but also offer players the opportunity to customize and distinguish their characters, creating an additional strategic dimension. Furthermore, this would introduce a layer of realism and depth to unit and battle management, while enriching the gameplay with striking visual elements.
Where are those from? I don’t remember any German rank insignia other than collar tabs. The most you can find is this eagle, but it’s a different one.
For example, in Russia, it’s illegal to show any Nazi imagery, like eagles, skulls, or swastikas. This also applies to objects where these symbols appear, such as medals, badges, or documents, unless they are used for research or cultural purposes that clearly condemn Nazi ideology.
Clearly the winter cap we have shows the cencored eagle while normal one doesn’t, it’s also a fact why all of them are cencored. Maybe you should take a look at hell let loose and even squad 44, clearly SS units and major Wehrmacht Heer divisions are represented in very huge accuracy.
Even there, there’s some very sad eagle with plucked feathers on its wings. nd in such low resolution that it’s hard to tell what it even is.
It’s even simpler than that. These games’ main audience isn’t from the CIS, unlike the Snail’s titles. And even though the Russian government couldn’t care less about symbols in games, Gaijin definitely won’t be taking any risks.
