Can you guys add ranks to uniform and helmet decals to improve soldiers look and to show which soldier is more experienced

This would be awesome, one would think they must be working on something like this.

Something important that hopefully the devs know is that they can alienate the player base very fast if they focus too much on monetization without in parallel fixing some of the currently broken mechanics (Troop recruitment economy - probably one of the biggest things right now)

Also the unique soldiers for golden orders should have rare limited time skins as well, like the vehicles do, and I am sure this has been mentioned numerous times in the past.

I would think as long as they keep the “skins” historically on point, and avoid having hot pink weapons - implementing some sort of skin/customization economy would be well received in the community.

Here are some cool things they could implement -

  • Chicken wire helmets that have customized foliage on them - like in war thunder’s tanks - and or on weapons

  • The actual class badge on the uniform

  • Ranks

  • tank assault ribbons for each successful tank kill by infantry units

  • customized historically accurate decals for vehicles

  • For the Americans unique - slogans and art on the back of jackets

  • Real time kill markings on the tail of aircraft and vehicles

So many cool possibilities out there.

I am not an expert on ww2 uniforms, so if there is anyone out there that is more knowledgeable please help me out there…

I was mistaken about the tank kill ribbons, they look to of just been given out to tank crews and not infantry - here is the wiki on them →

With the art on the jackets, I am almost positive I saw some in historical photos, but also know for a fact that the actor Ed Burns in Saving Private Ryan had one on —>

I will look around the photos I have saved from years of looking at ww2 photo reddits to see if I have some historical ones.

the preview says they gave it to anyone who destroyed a tank using handheld weapons, so infantry would likely be included. im not sure about tankers using their tanks tho, theyd hafta give them to either the whole crew for each tank, or only the guy who operated the gun at the time

I would think the whole crew, since the gunner is just one cog in that whole wheel.

However, in my gaming experience case, when my tank is close to getting knocked out and I bail, all my crew are equipped to the gill with explosive packs to go out seeking revenge…

yes, for about 99 percent of the time either that, or sniped from the other side of the map… but man that 1 percent when you can pull it off… totally worth it!
