Add timed limit to chat commands

There is a rather annoying problem right now where players get in planes and repeatedly spam the “Need Enemy Vehicle Coordinates” command. There seems to be no time limit on how often they can spam so players will hit the command many times in a row, which is probably the most annoying thing in the game to listen to right now.

Can we add a cooldown to these commands so they maybe can only spam it twice then they have to wait 5 seconds or so? Every other game does this.

Currently out of protest, when a player spams this command I spam markers in empty areas of the map and watch them waste their bombs. I encourage other to do the same, it is a rather satisfying rebuttal to their lack of etiquette.

Didn’t realize I could incorporate video so I’m adding this to the original post for added clarity of the issue:

I hope to never meet you on my team. That player in the air is maybe trying to make everyone win, while the lazy ones just farm bots on the ground and don’t even try to place a red triangle towards the enemy positions  .

The distinction here is players spamming this command 10 times in 10 seconds on every run.

He is spaming because you dont give him the marks. It is your fault, not his.

Players do this frequently regardless of how many marks are on the map. Every game prevents players from spamming like this. Love the commands, nothing wrong with using them. However, SPAMMING them is not defensible.

@OSTLAND I added a video to the original post so you can see what I’m more specifically referring to.

Nobody will ever convince me this does not take away from the atmosphere. There is no purpose for allowing players to troll like this.

I see the usual console player spamming the voice command… It might be their only way to communicate but I really wish I could just mute those players entirely for the remainder of the match…

i rather have a mute option for the chat noises / voice lines.

Even if it was a more reasonable spam, it’d still be the pilots fault.

Infantry aren’t there to help pilots get as much XP as possible, pilots don’t get to order everyone to help them.

The pilot can easily see tanks from the air; and if the want to bomb infantry, it’s a safe bet to bomb the objective, or leading from the objective back to the enemy spawn. I’ve never had a reason to request mark as a pilot, whilst still being effective.

If the pilot is too inexperienced to be effective on his own, that’s his fault, not the infantry players’ fault.

Let’s start with you, I have high graphics in the game and until you are 500 meters away you can’t physically see shit… The only guide to destroying a tank (especially if there are obstacles to vision) is to have it marked and even So many times you don’t see it because you see the mark but not the tank and it is behind a house.

About the other thing… In flight you don’t see absolutely anything on the ground (even other planes if you’re not in the distance you don’t see them unless you’re guided by their shots)

As for the marks… I have played complete games in which no one uses the marks, which not only makes it difficult for you in flight, but also in a tank or even in infantry, you can find a tank in front that no marks and that kills the entire unit.

Marking is essential in a cooperative game. Your allies are not your enemies and until you understand that you will not understand any game. It is not very difficult to hit the damn “V” and mark the enemy. …

Especially if you want to win.

It is not very difficult to hit space and kill the enemy either.

Guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree, but I have no problems with visibility and I have an awful tiny several-year-old 1080p monitor, and a graphics card which can’t even run the game on the highest settings.

I hate to pull the “skill issue” card but if I have no issues seeing and killing enemies without marks, it’s surely not a problem with the game.

Well, I do have a new monitor and a good PC, I run the game at 200fps on high and until you get within a range of 1km to the ground you don’t see the enemy, much less infantry… Now I never said that I couldn’t kill without the marks so save your “skill problems” card. One thing does not eliminate the other.

Another thing, the marks make the job easier, without them it is not difficult to make a creeping flight and see the enemy, but it is not like the enemy is waiting in the same place for you to turn around… If the game It would load the entire damn map at once and not in parts, we wouldn’t have those visual problems.

But of course, if the game did not load the map while you move, half of those who play would not be able to go above 10-20 fps with the horrible optimization of the game and that would kill the already almost non-existent enlisted
