As you might have already guessed from my username, I created this account to play Enlisted, with my only gun being the Nagant M1895 revolver. If you’re wondering why I’m doing this, it’s because I was bored with playing normally, so I decided to create this little challenge for myself. You can say whatever you want, but it’s actually kind of fun!
Now let’s get to the main issue, I can’t unequip my primary weapon and arm my soldiers with only a pistol. I am aware that some classes don’t require a gun to be equipped at all, being: Tanker, Pilot, APC Driver, and Rider. However, all of those classes can only be used in a vehicle squad, and I don’t want to hog up vehicle spots only to deploy with a pistol anyway, and use the vehicle only as a method of transportation.
Some might ask: Why is this so important to me? I know I might be a little nitpicky with this kind of statement, but it’s because I don’t want to be switching out of my primary to my pistol all the time, it’s annoying when switching between soldiers and my bots won’t reload the gun for me after switching because they just automatically go back to their primary, and if you ever tried playing with the Nagat, you know how annoying the reload times can be.
The solution to this problem would be simple. I assume this feature was implemented so players don’t accidentally send their soldiers into battle without a weapon, but there is a simple fix for that, every time you unequip the primary weapon from a soldier or soldiers and try to apply the changes, a pop-up will appear saying that you are sending a soldier into battle without a primary weapon and it’s not recommended, and you can either go back to the soldier configuration, dismiss the message, or click to ignore it entirely for this solider, so if you want him to not have a weapon, you won’t get this pop-up every time.
I know this is just a little detail that probably won’t matter for most people, but for me, and maybe some others too trying a similar configuration it will, and it isn’t that people are going to be upset about this, this is a win-win for everyone!
PS. If you have any tips on which perks
