Combat history

The first dozen were delivered by the end of October 1942 and assigned to Sturmgeschütz-Abteilungen (Assault Gun Battalions) 177 and 244, then fighting in Stalingrad. The remaining dozen vehicles could not be delivered to Sturmgeschütz-Abteilungen 243 and 245, also fighting in Stalingrad, after the Soviets surrounded the German 6th Army on 21 November. Instead, the vehicles were formed into Sturm-Infanterie-Geschütz-Batterie/Lehr-Bataillon (Assault Infantry Gun Batterie/Demonstration Battalion) XVII. The battalion was assigned to the 22nd Panzer Division as the Germans attempted to relieve the trapped 6th Army. The division was virtually wiped out in the fighting and the battery was assigned to the 23rd Panzer Division where it became the Sturm-Infanterie-Geschütz-Batterie/Panzer-Regiment 201 (also known as 9. Kompanie/Panzer-Regiment 201) for the rest of the war. The last strength report to mention them lists five remaining in September 1944.

Since this tanks is not top open and it has MG they will justify those as a BR4

I am not sure, its realy slow, i dont know if it even have AT rounds?

A 150 mm heavy infantry gun (with an actual caliber of 149.1 mm) from the World War II era. The abbreviation stands for schweres Infanteriegeschütz 33 (heavy infantry gun, Model 1933). It was used to destroy fortifications and eliminate enemy personnel.
If you want to use the 3BR in your research, keep in mind that the reload time will be comparable to that of the KV-2.

If they apply what they did to the open top version of this then they will ignore the slow speed issue and use the enclosed hull and the mg just like the jagdpz4 short barrel

I think historrically its fire rate was 2-3 shots per minute!

I think it would be KV-2. like!

That would be good counter. Is the reason why the rate of fire is low because if its cramped space and far shell placements?

Sherman 105:

Hahahahahhaha ur here too?

That vent is a weakness, maybe a flamethrower or phosphorus grenade

This one should be BR 4 if it were to be added, just like ISU-152.

The ISU 152 hase after my knowledge more armor and Speed!

The more armor on ISU-152 isn’t that much better to begin with since it’s only slightly angled 90mm and this vehicle would be much faster than ISU-152 since it used Stug 3 chassis which is basically a Panzer 3 chassis.

Tgis thing isnt really faster!
Stug 33 Maximum speed 20 kilometres per hour (12 mph!

ISU 152

Maximum speed * 30 km/h (19 mph) on road

  • 15-20 km/h
    (cross terrain)
  • 40 km/h
    (ISU-152 model 1945, ISU-152K, ISU-152M, on road)

ISU- 152 is Faster.

Would be first fair counter for kv2, su122 and 105 sherman at br3. all closed turret tanks

used ammo was:
HE (Infanteriegranate 33 & 38) 38kg - 8,6kg filler
INC (Infanteriegranate Brand) 39,7kg - 9,83kg filler
Smoke (Infanteriegranate Nebel) 2,18kg smoke compound and 35g booster
HEAT (Infanteriegranate HL/A) 25kg - 4,14kg filler Penetration: 160-180mm at 0°, around 125mm at 30-60°

So turns out that StuIG 33 B was so overloaded by 15cm gun with thicker armor that it’s max speed was severely hampered, the max speed was indeed only 20km/h i didn’t know that this tank was that slow because the Sturmpanzer 4 was actually still quite fast despite all the armor and 15cm gun i guess i underestimated the chassis difference between Panzer 3 and Panzer 4.

One small correction tho, ISU-152 has 35 km/h max speed in Enlisted not 40 km/h.

I’ll say this, if StuIG 33 B gets the same reload speed as Sturmpanzer 2 it should be still BR 4. If it gets slower reload speed than the Sturmpanzer 2 then i’m fine with it on BR 3.

in wikipedia the later version was mentioned with 40 km,h!

If the SU-152 comes to enlisted as well what Br would this be?
