When I give my solders the sprint perk, I want them to use it when I use my sprint ability (holding Shift) To do this, I want to double tap the move order to issue "sprint here’ command until stamina runs out or order is canceled.
I want the same for the "go prone’ ability – I want soldiers to remain in prone position even when I’ not. How can we do that?
Better yet, order to sprint or crawl to the move to point!! Put that faster crawl perk to use.
The only thing our AI bots are good for is dying. I don’t know what Gaijin has done over the years, but the current AI bots they currently have I believe are the absolute worse they’ve had, and that ain’t saying much. Sure, the terminator bots are more aggressive and give more fight, but our bots? PTSD crack addicts with death wishes.
Yes, our AI Bots should sprint when we sprint, lay down when we lay down, use the same doors or windows we use, not run or stand in front of us while were engaged with the enemy, and for the love of Pete, stay where we order them to stay.
No matter what I do, I cannot get my bots to follow orders for more then a few seconds. I can take a nine man rifle squad and hand hold every bot to get them into a safe place, then watch them and one by one, they will either go stand by a window, or run out of the room altogether. I just played a game where I had one remaining bot and we were in the upstairs of the cap point. I clearly see the X on the floor, and the bot appears to be staying, so I go down to the halfway part of the stairs to shoot around the corner, and low and behold, my bot runs past me going down stairs. I go back up and still see the X on the floor, so I quickly switch to the bot with hopes I can get him back upstairs while still having my other upstairs. This dumbass is already outside, and I have no time to do anything as their are half a dozen enemies just feet away shooting me.
So, asking the dev’s to do anything more when they can’t even give us a basic bot that can follow the simplist of orders is asking too much. I am probably the biggest bot critic here, and they frustrate and irritate me far more then terrible team mates.
think that it is deliberately made that way so people could actually kill bots. if you made crawl command, then you would nerf vehicles(specially planes) and players would have much harder time actually killing bots.
Bots do dumb things no doubt and its frustrating sometimes. Have you tried individual bot commands? I find that it works better than group commands. You can order bots to the corners of the room to stay. Group command could be impacted by your formation. If its wide, bots will stay all over the place, not necessarily in the room you ordered them to stay.
I have, but it takes up too much time for impatient people like me, especially when using a nine man rifle squad. Since I just want them to collectively stay, giving independent commands might work, but is time consuming and shouldn’t be needed if Gaijin would just fix the problem. There are so many issues with their bots, but if they would just fix the basics, I could live with them, but they either can’t fix them, or won’t.
No, this is not flexible, especially when you want the team to lie down and act on their own to bomb tanks, and then get up. The team just stays in a position that is not the most conspicuous when they are lying down to stand up
It wasn’t very useful. Besides, I made this suggestion. Then they chose one of the three robot action commands, which was actually quite useful - standing in place. Previously, even when a single robot command was given, the robot would still move randomly
