Infantry should be able to use friendly tanks more, such as the MG on top of the tank.
Situations like the IV/70 however seem rather unique, as it has a very flat top and no turret. Infantry should be able to stand on the back and “mount”/ bipod their weapons on the top of the vehicle.
Definitely not a priority right now, but would be nice to see in the future.
The same or better effect could be achieved by using all the steel intended for the production of the T-34 for manufacturing metal buckets which we would throw at the enemy. War then would end quicker Comrade.
Good idea, if you’re playing with friends on coms; however, bad idea if you’re not: A fairly large percentage of players in this game have absolutely no idea what they’re doing—and don’t seem interested in learning. Very few people place spawn points, and those who do rarely put down ammo. Same goes for capping points. A lot of players are overly concerned about their k/d ratio—which means absolutely nothing if you don’t cap to win. And you can’t explain this to them because “they know” what they’re doing.
What do you think is going to happen if you allow random players onto a tank MG? Many will just get on the gun and start firing… at absolutely nothing—while at the same time giving up the tanks position to the enemy. Also, after a while, this just gets annoying. And there’s already enough annoying things in this game that need to be changed—there’s no point in adding another one.
If the developers can implement a system of control for the tank’s owner to decide who can fire their guns (anyone, no one, squad members only, or specific players), then I’m all for it. If no control system exists, then I’m 100% against it.
, There already is an option to control who can get into your tank, I would assume it would extend to the MG also.
It’s in the options.
Also, the main subject of this post was actually not letting them on MG that was built into the tank, but rather to provide a flat surface that they can set a bipod on or “mount” their weapon to, just as you would a normal piece of cover.
