The Tiger I H1 historically came with the Minenabwurfvorrichtung, S‑mine dischargers mounted on four hull corners plus one on the left hull side. These electrically‑fired launchers shot modified S‑Mi‑35 bounding mines upward to kill infantry closing into the tank’s blind zones. They were factory‑fitted from Jan‑Oct 1943. It would be great to implement this historical close‑defence equipment for Tiger H1 in‑game
Add Minenabwurfvorrichtung S‑mine dischargers to both German Tiger I Ausf.H1 and Japanese Tiger

- Do not add this equipment to either tank
In‑game, Tiger I Ausf.E is unlocked before Tiger I Ausf.H1. Since most players already own the Tiger E, few will choose to play the Tiger H1, which suffers from gun‑depression restrictions and vulnerable commander’s cupola hit‑zones.
The tech‑tree placement should be re‑ordered: the 1943 variant should come before the 1944 variant.
According to historical records, these bounding mines could be fired individually by the commander’s button, engaging infantry within 1.9‑2.5 metres around the hull. In Enlisted, infantry frequently close point‑blank to tanks. Equipping this device on Tiger I Ausf.H1, as well as the Japanese Tiger sharing the same chassis, would greatly improve their survivability against swarming infantry

Realistically, if the Japanese had the Tiger, they would have wanted less stuff like smoke grenades and other equipment because, once they used them, they would have found it hard to get more.

If Japan had actually received the Tiger I Ausf.H1, this heavy tank would definitely become their most treasured asset, possibly even getting its‑own dedicated production line. Historically, the 1st Tank Division — armed only with Type 89 medium tanks, Type 95 light tanks and a small number of early Type 97 vehicles — was already treated as a precious reserve, only committed in extreme emergencies. It is reasonable to infer that the Japanese military would give extremely high priority and special care to the Tiger.
Since this vehicle would be supplied as a complete German export package, it should logically come together with the Minenabwurfvorrichtung S‑mine launchers and smoke grenade dischargers. Therefore the in‑game Japanese Tiger, sharing the Tiger H1 chassis, should also feature these accessories.

Sure, if they get the pre nerfed ap mines.
As long as it’s relatively weak and not absurdly OP like pre nerf GL used to be.
Why add it if it’s going to suck?
Idk. For the historical feature? I mean smoke nades and shells are utterly useless but they added them anyway so

I would love to have each tank with the “Nahverteidigungswaffe” equiped with airburst HE aswell as a toggle. This and the s-mine discharger would maybe encourage tankers to leave the greyzone for once.
But since infantry mains then no longer could complain about camping tanks in the greyzone they usually are opposed to such actions.
Its easier to blame campers than their own skill issue.
