Add Luftwaffe cosmetics to actual luftwaffe squads

it pains me to make this suggestion as i kinda wanted that all squads could and would use all type of cosmetics.

but that ain’t just gonna happen, so i instead, take an example that was recently made, and replicate it on some other squads:

more precisely, before the update, the 1st volkssturm didn’t had acess to volkssturm uniforms:

a sub branch of the military where other volkssturm units wound get their historically accurate uniforms:

but now they do:

or, more notable example, italian uniforms across all campaigns for italian squads:

so in today suggestion, i would like to do something very similar.

but dedicate to the luftwaffe cosmetics for luftwaffe squads.

as not many knows, but there are tons of luftwaffe squads that are currently not utilizing the right cosmetics, or outright, don’t have access to those for all campaign presets.

and with this thread i’d like to focus on those while providing names, clothing ids, and actual squads and what not.

NOTE: yes, there are many other instances for pretty much all factions, but for the sake of organizations, each will have his own.
and while the US get the " cheat " by being able to dress up as airborne literally everyone… we can’t get nice things.

but i’ll tackle one thing at a time.

Main suggestion:

Give the following squads all or majority of the themed luftwaffe cosmetics to match what the units actually represent:

in order to make it more organized, i’ll leave smaller “sub folders”

List of squads

25th parachute regiment, 9th parachute division ( Legacy - Flamethrower Squad TI )

Squad Id Name: ger_berlin_mgun_1

Issues:
the issue of this squad is, it comes with default luftwaffe ground parkas, paratrooper helmet, but no choice of different camos, or headgears. and worse, no ability to retain the customization for any other campaign other than berlin:

Proofs

27th parachute regiment, 9th parachute division ( Legacy - Flamethrower Squad TI )

Squad Id Name: ger_berlin_flametrooper_1

Issues:
the issue of this squad is, it comes with default luftwaffe ground parkas, paratrooper helmet, but no choice of different camos, or headgears. and worse, no ability to retain the customization for any other campaign:

Proofs

3rd Mortar Battalion, 3rd Parachute Division ( Legacy - Mortar Squad TI )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_mortarman_1

Issue:
much like the previous squad, this one only has paratrooper cosmetic as default appearance in normandy, but nowhere else.

Proof

600th parachute battalion, panzer brigade 150 ( Event - Horn STG Assault Squad )

Squad Id Name: ger_berlin_event_assault_1

Beside the base uniform, it doesn’t have a whole lot of choice.
matter of fact, none.

which they are currently wearing the Late M43 knochensach, but it wasn’t used at all in the early war campaigns such as Moscow, Stalingrad / Rzhev Nor Tunisia.

191st Luftlande Engineer Battalion, 91st Infantry division ( Legacy - Mas36 Engineer Squad TI )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_engineer_1

inspite originally and still was at the time, a Luftlande division trained for airborne operations, it currently has no Airborne uniforms to chose from.

Proof

1058th grenadier regiment, 91st Infantry division ( TT - ZK Assault Squad TIII )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_assault_3

  • For Precisely the same reasons as before, and as putted it in the description, born as a airborne division ( which still was to some extent during the war ) fitted with uniforms and what not, yet in the game, no uniforms of such kind are issued.

1st Grenadier Regiment, 1st fallshirmjeager-panzer division ( Premium - KS750 Rider Squad )

Squad Id Name: axis_tunisia_prem_biker_1

Issue:
unlike most squads from this list, this squad in particular does have mostly themed default cosmetics and some recoloration of the base tunic with few options for the winter. problem is, most camouglages are either pea dots, or sumpftarn which are 1944 & 1943 camouflages which it would be anachronystic for some of the time period, and not suitable for early war while lacking more standard options.

46th jager regiment, 16th Field Division ( Premium - Erma Assault Squad )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_prem_assault_3

unfortunately, as i do not own this squad i cannot say for certain, but from what i could gather and see, this squad shares the same issue for all presets.

6th Parachute regiment, 91th Infantry Division ( Premium - Kiraly M43 Assault Squad )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_prem_assault_4

unfortunately, as i do not own this squad i cannot say for certain, but from what i could gather and see, this squad shares the same issue for all presets and a lack of different options within the branch that represents.

5th Pioneer battalion, 5th parachute Division ( Premium - G41 Engineer Squad )

Squad Id Name: ger_normandy_prem_engineer_1

unfortunately, as i do not own this squad i cannot say for certain, but from what i could gather and see, this squad shares the same issue for all presets and a lack of different options within the branch that represents.

Cosmetics

now that all squads have been identified and addressed, in this section as the name implies, i’ll cover all cosmetics that these squad should get without stepping too much on the premium appearance toes.
to remain historical, while provide suitable choices and would allow to match some of the existing pieces or introduce unused ones where would fit.

first;

much like the volkssturm, it’s a start.

but, imo these squads should be unique due to what they represent.
with that being said, i kinda wished for all squads to get all sort of cosmetics, but by the look of it, it doesn’t seem possible.

so here i am making alternatives.

I didn’t know the 1058th Grenadier regiment was a Luftwaffe squad. Never knew the Luftwaffe had Grenadiers

well, truth be told.

they aren’t.

the luftwaffe had grenadier regiments which often known as luftwaffe feld units.

the 1058th is infact a heer unit.

but, due to being kinda the only TT squad from the 91st luftlande ( that could utilize these uniforms as far other TT comparison squads ) , by plausibility, they could wear paras uniforms / luftwaffe ground units due to the 91st it self was designed to be an air-landing division as option.

so, utilizing the " realistic " argument, as well as the TT squad being usable by everyone, i think it would be cool being able to use para uniforms like most other nations can.
