The complete change in the Lone Fighters mode - which was the only one many people played - completely ruined the experience for some of us.
A simple fix to this would be to addition of “Hardcore” as a separate, 5th game-mode, while keeping the original Lone-Fighters format. This would enrich the game with yet another fun game-mode and keep everyone happy.
There is no reason to remove an entire game-mode that many people loved to play just to implement some game-breaking changes. You’re doing the game a disservice. Not to mention the fact it increased how overpowered vehicles are (while the updated nerfed artillery, which was historically more deadlier)
If it was an option I feel Darkflow would have gone for it.
In current state, lonefighter does not have enough people to fill a game. This new update feels like a last hurrah to get some life back into the game mode. If you would add 2 different lone fighter modes you would split the playerbase that is not enough to fill one of them.
at least in the NA servers lone fighters have no problem filling games. Sometimes you might have to wait like 1 minute in the Moscow campaign, but you can always play, at any hour of the day.
hardcore should be a niche for a few (preferrably experience) players, so they won’t really care to wait a minute or two to join a battle, plus the game shouldn’t remove entire game-modes (or worse, not even add new ones) because some people feel there isn’t enough players to fill them. Eventually, as the game development progresses, all game-modes will be filled and it will be a good thing to have more of them, more different options for players to play in different ways, which will give greater re-playability to the game.
Well I think you got “lucky” with the new game mode. The lonefighter was doing so much worse than squads that it would not have suprised me if they scrapped the idea.

you clearly underestimate how many people actually play lone fighters and how fun it is. You think people probably will like it, but I have people who play it and factually didn’t like it. Besides, there is no reason to remove an entire game mode that several people loved, rather than introducing the changes a new game mode, hardcore.
The mod was very good. indeed some info of the hud was to be deleted but clearly we no longer understand the game now.
Me and my friends stop playing it like everyone we know.
