id like a impact-triggered at grenade if possible, but thats likely my need to l2p talking (not a troll, i rly do)

That would be the RPG grenades if i recall correctly
Italians, russians and I believe british all had impact grenades.
Not a learn to play issue, impact grenades have both tactical advantages and disadvantages and I’d like to see the squad loadouts in general get more varied and different.
Impact grenades would suck and simply not work around blind corners and in super close quarters.
There is also grenades that have high explosive energy but low frag or low energy and high fragmentation.
@_31420124242011 They have standard infantry fragmentation grenades armed with impact fuzes. often used for assaults.
it is when i cant seem to kill a tank at close range with detpacks (im especially bad against a-13s from tunisia). even when i do kill a tank with one (im usually better at it with molotovs) i get instakilled by another tank or some mg sniper
The british AT explosive was i believe called the gammon bomb

Sure. AT grenades would be more realistic. But I think it’s good that the grenades are dual purpose. Again, it’s about keeping the game balanced. Infantry is still the most numerous unit and the only one that can really cap points. You have to give the infantry to fight as flexibly as possible.
One of the biggest problems with planes is that most infantry can’t do anything about them.

Nah detpacks being the be all end all of explosive needs to stop
Replacing them with HEAT and AT grenades that do little to infantry would be a godsend for every soldier on the field
Forcing people to choose to bring a grenade pouch to be dual purpose or to forgo one or the other
This is a different issue entirely stemming from the dev’s unwillingness to give proper AA

I guess it will not change much if you replace one grenade type with another. Instead of 9 grenades, maybe 5 only, but it will still be the main preparation before entering the location.
Yes, but it would just be frags instead of the ultimate atom bomb ie detpack
They wouldn’t also have 100% utility vs everything if they wanted to spam grenades at something
Assuming I shoot the commander of the tank, I wish to be able to throw my frag grenade inside until the crew is able to drag away his body and close the hatch, like 100% utility for another 5 seconds or as long as someone switches to commander position.

They’d have to be unbuttoned for that since you can lock the hatch from the inside
But we could handwave that for gameplay if need be since this would be a great way to knock out tanks
Yes, unlocked hatch - I’ve meant the moment when the commander is outside half exposed for easier navigation, and I am able to shoot him, there should be a short time period when the tank is fragile to just anything including hand grenade until crew swaps places to lock the hatch. Even a smoke grenade inside the tank would cause a lot of trouble and render it unusable for a long time.

I agree. Devs should replace that det pack with det pack 2.0 that contain 18 dynamite sticks… or mayby 28?
Stats would be exactly same but people could stop crying how 6 magic sticks destroyed their tin can
