Add ( and adapt ) the " Frontline " Gamemode from ww1 april event to the base game

Long story short, it would be really cool to have the event ww1 gamemode on a grander scale for the base game ww2.

Imo, it’s such a refreshing gamemode where allow players to attack or defend.

now, truth be told, the AI kinda makes the gamemode more interest since there are AIs that attack back and forth.

and it can function on a greater scale.

for those who have not played it,
Think of it as confrontation but with 2 active points instead of one.

which allows defensive players to set up defenses and make their deam on a point with some preparation. while the assaulters keep do what they do without being restrained from the objectives.

this game mode offers more variety and be more around dynamic player choices.

perfect example of where this would work best is, stalingrad, berlin maps, and others maps like normandy steel plant etc.

in addition, would be cool to get ww2 AI convoys or small groups that much like the ww1, assault the enemy positions one turn at a time to keep the battle shifting.

but let me y’all know what y’all think.
honestly, i’m starving for new game modes and current ones kinda start to becoming a bit stale.

Perfect example I can think of is that opening iconic scene in enemy at the gates.

Defo agree some maps which have a mass assault element could 100% benefit from this mode

Erica is right, but the Enlisted team needs some time to prepare new WWI maps and historical weapons, because the event maps are just the foundation; they will continue to expand upon this foundation.

ugh…

no.

this suggestion just aims to get the GAMEMODE ( Objectives ). from the ww1.

not… expand ww1.

i mean, sure? i guess.
but not the main focus.

after all, it’s a ww2 game. not ww1.
and as an april fool event, set the foundation for modders to expand and improve.
(… with the exceptions of custom models and weapons that are not from the game, but that’s a whole lot of can of worm to open )

Erica, don’t worry about it. This is great news for both regular players and custom mod creators.

they would definitely need to adapt it to the WW2 era since it is a WW2 game

But could you, as a modder, implement this kind of back-and-forth into a mod?

well yes

it’s why i said:

anyway

yes.
i could.

but truth be told, it’s not really my type of mods that i enjoy making.

like, i can’t really provide a balanced experience in pvp.
since i mostly do PVE type of missions and fill that genre.

don’t have much time or energy lately though.
if i’m modding, i’m not playing and viceversa.

perhaps when i’ll finish the bps i will.
but again, historical accurate mods aren’t really balanced.

and while the ww1 was more or less asymetrically balanced, i know for a fact mine wont be.

I believe that the front line mode is the tested feature.
Alongside maybe the new MG building feature.
