I’ve lost a few exp cards because sometimes having an experience card, I join a match, see I have abnormally high ping (~250), and instantly quit, forgetting I’m losing the exp card by doing so.
This is frustrating and could easily be fixed by adding a window with an explicit alert: “Are you sure you want to leave? All experience cards will be lost.” when you try to desert a match when you have an exp card activated.
Just don’t leave.
Or alt-f4 and restart the game, it allows You to rejoin then.

Well he had booster, better to play at high ping than lose it.
Even on 250 sitting in tank or just spamming arty can do decent job, or just support team and focus on playing engineer, still nice xp.

Also, displaying an alert would prevent more people from leaving, making the game better. And you can’t force people to play with high ping.

Not really, I pick only North America server all times. This is more me being distant from North America, which is still good enough and gives low ping for most matches, but some are hosted in Western North America and in these matches I have too much ping and am at a disadvantage.
Yes, getting a good match even with ping high enough to give you a disadvantage is perfectly doable, but on a regular match without exp cards I would instantly leave if I see I have high ping, the problem is: I forget I have the exp card activated and instantly leave as if it was a regular match, losing the exp card. An alert that I have an exp card active would prevent that.
