The AB41 could mount an AA machine gun. This would be fun to use against infantry and planes.

Giving MG to a boring vehicle won’t magically make it fun to play.
Devs shouldn’t be wasting resources on BR1 content.

Because new players should be left alone. There’s no reason to add more content to BR1. The current BR1 content will always be new to new players.
Only those who pick on new players and people who have nothing better to do than fight them would benefit from new additions to BR1. (It’s funny that these are often the same people who so frequently use “but new players…” arguments in debates.)
That’s why 
Btw. I believe people shouldn’t even be able to grind events while playing BR1 stuff. Similarly to how it is implemented in WT with 2 lowest ranks.
For some reason, I thought people came to BR1 when they got tired of spamming high-caliber HE rounds and indistinguishable full-auto Pokémon launchers. You know, to shoot bolt-action rifles, to drive a variety of fun vehicles that are at least somewhat different from the formula “lots of armor and a big gun with a slow reload and a big splash.” Different battle ratings give different experience. And just because you think BR1 is somehow inferior doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be improved. Everything needs to be improved.
