Add a "Return to Base" option for the aircraft

Many players use bombers only to get rid of a tank that is in the way. They are not willing to carry bombs back and forth with them all the time, so they will choose suicide attacks or bomb tanks and then commit suicide. This is not only a loss for the team, but also a nuisance to many players. So I hope to add an option of “returning to the base”, so that these players who are unwilling to carry bombs can throw themselves into the ground battle as soon as possible without committing suicide after using the plane, so as to bring victory to the team.
This is the instruction about “returning to base”.
1.It’s not “leaving the fight”.
2.Players can find it through the “esc” key.
3.After the player uses this option, the plane will return to the replenishment point through automatic navigation.
4.This returning plane will not hinder other teammates from using the plane.
5.If the plane returns to the supply point smoothly, it will not consume the number of reinforcements of the team.
6.This self-returning plane will disappear when it reaches the supply point and then return the number of reinforcements of the team.
7.After the plane returns to the supply point smoothly, the player will be given a little score.
This can reduce some annoying suicide attacks, let players who prefer ground operations return to their places as soon as possible, and at the same time make the existence of fighter pilots more meaningful. They will be able to score points and contribute to the team by hunting planes that return automatically.Similarly, they will also be given the task of protecting the bombers returning from friendly forces, because the bombers returning automatically are very fragile.

Why not to make “returning to base” as a zone in the air about 2km from battlefield?
If player goes to it, he can immediately can pick next squad, gets landing bonus and his team doesn’t lose any tickets.
spawn - kill plane / release payload - no more targets - “returned to base”

I always keep calling for something like this

After player return to the airport, they can choose to redeploy as infantry insted of suicde. and Redeploy returns the soul points required for pervious deployment.

If the player is shot down or commits suicide, no soul points will be refunded.

And allow players to continue to deploy fighters next time.

Such a mechanic would allow players to safely respawn as infantry, rather than abusing suicide

@1942786 As keofox was said, they consider some thing like this.

I at least expect them to allow such a feature in the editor for players. Really need it.

he/she the player himself, the team doesn’t lose any tickets.

there should be a score only for player himself.

They can turn this score into soul balance scores / ancient coin scores as CRSED

Patch

I think it makes more sense to use engineer scores as consumable scores.

This encourages players to build rally points or use engineers to do meaningful things.

Maybe also need to cancel the +1 points for simple builds, and significantly increase the engineer scores for respawn points used by other players

Is it you personal challenge to turn any suggestion into “soul score” discussion?)

If you look at my posting history, you’ll see that I’ve been following this plane suicide issue almost from the beginning. .

My suggestion started out as the Spawn Score system, but I think CRSED soul scores are more familiar to the devs, they’re just similar things.

I just wish there was a point system or something like that to limit players for more choices reasons. .

It could even be the number of aircraft. For example, if the player has 3 planes, if he does not return and runs out of planes, he will no longer be able to deploy the plane in current match.

But in contrast, the Spawn Score system can be extended to other game rules. Such as powerful radio support, bombers and rocket bombardment can also be limited using such mechanisms. It’s just something like the ritual in CRSED.

This allows developers to add richer game elements, instead of being troubled by the problem that this thing OP is too weak and useless every day.

You see forums discussing these things every day, “XXX is too OP and needs to be nerfed” “XXX needs to be remove”. But at the same time the game has a lot of useless stuff, like Stug III.

This also allows them to more easily solve various problems in a convincing way, without affecting the player’s game experience too much.

For example heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft artillery are too powerful, they just need to increase the cost of these things, instead of goddamn DELET the ability to penetrate wood meterial. Or NERF the damage of these weapons into marshmallows, etc.

This will take too long, and it will lead to the defeat of the battle on the ground. It is better to commit suicide directly.

In fact even now that they add points for crash landing and parachuting, it doesn’t make sense for most savvy players, because they kill themselves and turn into infantry and start shooting to get points faster.

And aircraft carriers, which not many savvy players return to.

I know there are naughty player may reply me said that he will return to the carrier.

Well, such player can do a survey and ask other players in your community group.

I was thinking about my bf109, and this is 7 sec longer than going to resupply, which is anyway faster then jumping to ground and suffering with one pilot.
I just want a manual option to return, because autopilot fighter is very vulnerable.

Most players commit suicide just to get to the ground faster, because it is very inefficient to carry bombs back and forth. Giving players a way to get back to the ground in time without committing suicide is the best way to curb suicide attacks.

It is true that it is good to return manually, but at the same time, some people will return to the ground as soon as possible. Both options should actually exist.

Another reason for their suicide is the accuracy as a missile.

So they also need punishment and rewards as reasons for behavior.

I’m not talking about +100 points for skydiving or forced landing.

As I described above.

Think from another angle. If you just return automatically and immediately, who would choose skydiving and forced landing? The game will have some more useless stuff.

With deployment score

  • Return to the target area will return 100% deployment score

  • Forced landing will return 60%

  • Skydiving will be refunded 30%

In this way, it is connected with the current function. All actions of the player are optional selectable reasonable.

If his plane is seriously damaged, he can choose to parachute or make an emergency landing

Yes, if the player’s plane can still fly normally, he will choose to “return automatically”, and if his plane breaks down, he will also be willing to skydive or land. However, it needs to be added that players should have two choices after successful skydiving or forced landing: continue fighting or use other corps to fight. This will be distinguished from suicide, one is that there is no punishment time, and the other is that it can reduce some losses.

This is ridiculous.

OMG, If your to concerned with taking the time to fly a plane, why not just, not, Fly the plane?

Let somebody who wants to fly do so.

I routinely fly and rearm and even land and repair and I am often in the top % of my team, occasionally #1, and often I don’t die, I cost my team nothing in tickets frequently.

My point is patience can pay off.

Killing yourself in a plane is a super cheese gameplay tactic.

I applaud the effort to come up with an alternative however.

Their is always a portion of any of these communities in these types of games that feal that if a player in not in the Capture Zone he or she is not contributing, these players always have a rather myopic view of how the game should be played, interdiction of the enemy’s troops is always helpful, not to mention intercepting the enemy planes.

Any Auto return is just going to give the enemy a free aircraft kill.

Many Players Like flying in this game, I see them every day doing so, as evidenced by there round trips to the rearm point, or to the CV for repair.

I am confident in my flying skills, but also, I need to make more contributions to victory than carrying bombs back and forth in the air.
Quite simply, if an enemy tank blocks your team and you don’t use the plane to solve it in time, it will make the team suffer irreparable losses. More importantly, compared with staying on the plane, the player’s contribution on the ground is more important, so it is necessary to provide more choices through automatic return.
You know, many times you can’t win by plane alone.
I don’t think it’s absurd to give players who are pursuing victory an alternative to suicide attacks.
Besides, I really just want to blow up a troublesome tank with a plane and then fight on the ground. I don’t want to commit suicide attacks or move bombs back and forth!

The premise is that there must be enemies on the fighter plane. Now fighter pilots have almost nothing to do except intercept air strikes and bombers carrying bombs back and forth. If your enemy chooses suicide attack, the fighter probably has no chance to respond. So it’s not a problem to give pilots more job opportunities, isn’t it?After all, there is an enemy on the fighter plane, and there will be one less enemy on the ground.

Terrible easy mode, it wouldn’t even make sense to play planes properly anymore. Your idea is just terrible, I don’t like it.

Easy mode? Who is not suitable for flying? What are you talking about? I can’t understand.

good idea. i also think it’d be a good idea to move plane spawn points back 2km or so (NOT the resupply points) because it would make revenge shootings harder

eg you bomb a guys tank, turn around to resup. he gets mad and spawns fighter, and just guns you down from behind, giving you no chance to respond or dogfight. moving spawn points back remedies this, so if you want to dogfight it’s now more possible instead of being shot in the ass

Players can already do something similar by SAFELY LANDING THE PLANE. Landing without blowing up and jumping out will give points to the player, let the plane be used again sooner, and let the occupants enter the field as infantry as if they had safely parachuted.
Make sure you have your pilots well equipped and you won’t have an issue.
