Add a building command wheel

its really annoyng that when you are playng a squad with an engeneer every time you need to build something you have to switch to the engineer. What do you think about a command in the command wheel that let you choose what to build and then let it be built by the ai, so you dont have to switch every damn time

I was just taught that it’s already possible… sometimes not so perfect, but possible.

You actually can do that, but you need to “place” the object you want to build first and then order AI to build it (each object needs its separate “build” order, and you need to have engineer with hammer out to see objects not built yet). For example I can take engineer squad and completely deny tanks access on Monastery bridge in a short time like that. All this while I can just watch over the AI doing its job and switch to assaulter. Or you can order one of your engineers to build something …

(Still you need to select an engineer to order the bots. So OP’s suggestion would be an addition, but you can watch over the work of your engineers with e.g. an assaulter after you commanded them with an engineer.)

yes but still you have to switch to an engineer, place the object and then while are you still an engineer with the hammer in the hand order an other engineer to build, because if you change class and lets say switch to assault you cannot see the building order. What im asking is the possibility to make a building order without having to swtich to engineer and equip the hammer and let the bot build it while you provide coveringfire or do other things.

Before the forum crashed with 502 Bad Gateway for me, I’ve just edited my post to reflect it. It would be like ‘7’ for the radioman, but opening the build wheel instead of the map - I agree that it would make it easier to advance as a squad, someone left behind to build the rally point and such, without the need to switch to engineer and additionally press the build order command.

Sure, I dont have to select my radio man to call in arty, Why do I have to select my engineer first. As long as I have a live engineer in my squad the build wheel should work. And when I select what I want him to build he gets to work.

As long as I stay in command range he builds what I tell him to build.

Give perks to the the engineer to build faster and better stuff …

I want the same ability to order my bots to trow grenades and place mines at my command.
