At the moment tanks have no breaks as it seems. I suggest a button that decelerates the tank to a standstill, without reversing afterwards, or put simply a break.

I get your point but try this:
When your tank is at full speed, press backwards for about a second, then just hit the backwards button a couple of times. You should be able to stand still without driving backwards.
just ram it to wall or something, stops immediatly.
In war thunder, i used to use engine break to fully stop and it worked well. But in here it feels it doesn’t work the same way it does in war thunder.
Yeah, I second this. Hand-brake would be nice addition.
