So, turns out that the Achilles is even more terrible than i initially thought. What i mean by that is that after i checked it’s 17 pdr reload speed after the most recent major update.
Firefly with 5.9 secs reload time for it’s 17 pdr also on BR 4
So, Firefly actually reloads much faster than Achilles meanwhile Achilles stuck with 6.7 secs reload time on BR 4 which makes zero sense and basically making Achilles absolutely pointless vehicle to use over Firefly on BR 4. I suggest buff Achilles by change it’s BR to BR 3 instead of BR 4 without changing it’s reload speed which would makes more sense and fair.
The other option would be less optimal but nonetheless would making it less painful to use, buff the reload speed of it’s 17 pdr in line with Firefly.

An open wheelhouse is no longer an argument for quick reloading, so initially the garbage was required for 3 br, even with the preservation of a subcalibre projectile.
3 br is good for him, in terms of armor it is the m-10 and in terms of the gun it is closer to the m18 (okay, almost closer)

17 pounder was historically comparable to Panthers maingun - it was an excellent anti tank gun, its just post pen damage that doesn’t work properly in Enlisted.
Theoretically, even if that gun reflected its real-life performance. But it would still be at BR4, unlike the M10, which is at BR3. Within the context of its BR, that tank is still worse than the M10 at its BR.
That tank just doesn’t have anything extra. And while the M10, with its Sherman 76 gun (I know about M1 and M7 difference), is only at BR 3, the Achilles, with its Firefly gun, is at the same BR as the Firefly.
It just doesn’t make any logical sense. What advantage does the Achilles have over the Firefly? And it’s not even nowhere near comparable to Jackson.
Well, guess Achillies being BR3 would be not terrible for balance at all, actually such vehicle wouldn’t hurt BR3 and BR2 German vehicles at all since they can deal with it. Since its premium it would function as an alternative to M10.
I am sorry I disagree about Achilles, I use it in my BR4 line up, it can one shot anything up to Tiger, Tiger 2 is a little more challenging, but if I disable tracks or main gun I can kill KT2
The KV-2 can also one-shot a King Tiger. Yet it was lowered to BR 3.
Why? Because the ability to one-shot a King Tiger isn’t the only deciding factor in whether a vehicle should be at BR 4.
The reality is that the Achilles is way worse than the Firefly simply because it’s open-topped (= significantly reduced survivability against CAS), yet for whatever reason, it’s at the same BR.
Not to mention it has worse maneuverability and turret rotation speed.
On top of that, no coaxial MG with actually slower reload speed for it’s 17 pdr and less total ammunition available than Firefly as well. It really is not a vehicle fitting in BR 4 by all account objectively speaking.
