So right now if you want access troops (look at their perks, change gear, etc.) you need to assign the squad to a slot.
This can be hard if you want do stuff like find your best riflemen or something.
Wouldn’t it be nice if you could change squad composition whether the squad was assigned to a slot in your line up or not?

As someone already pointed out, the troops-inventory management system needs an addition making us able to see ALL the soldiers, vehicles and weapons we own (with a search function), both available and already assigned, and where they are assigned.
We need a quick and reliable way to recap what we have and where it is, without checking through dozens of squads one by one.
Even more so since with the upcoming merge our unified German, US and Russian inventories will become HUGE.
Then, ideally, we’d be able to equip dudes and stuff from that screen already, but even if that wasn’t technically feasible, a global inventory display is necessary.

Yep, I am troubled by this, too. And sometimes I may mistake squads with similar icons and assign a ‘wrong’ team in game, only with primary bolt rifles.
