academy is fine also this is the point you take 3 soldiers of the same class and rank and you get back the first you put in with an extra rank
After a while you’ll have an excess amount of soldiers. You’ll be more than happy to send 3 of them to academy. By the end of the alpha test, I was getting rid of my soldiers without even bothering to level them up. If the academy had an option to take non starred soldiers, I would have send them all in for a single upgraded assaulter or engineer class soldier.
Academy is fine the way it is now. Even if the process of sending 3 and getting 1 soldier is not really a very realistic thing to do, and if the devs are indeed trying to find a different approach to it, I wouldn’t necessarily consider this something that requires precious developing time ASAP. There are far greater issues in the game right now.

The only thing that has to be done is to revert it back to the guaranteed “first one in = one that comes out” to make sure you can just sacrifice useless soldier classes to level favored ones. Right now each soldier has a 33% change to return.
Didn’t know they changed that. Never got the chance to try out Academy after CBT. Haven’t been playing enough to level up players.
The first one in is the one out was a nice system. The 33% makes sense tho. Everything is random in the game. Why make the academy any different. Classic devs.

no it doesn’t we shoudld be able to keep the soldier we want
academy is fine it shouldn’t be changed it’s a good way to get stock guns for early upgrades without losing anything, it helps with cleaning up the reserves which will turn into a cluster fuck if not taken care off and it’s a way to avoid being dependent upon random drops cause you can essentially build them out of low rank drops also you have to put effort into it cause these soldiers need to be used and upgraded
I was being sarcastic. The devs have already ruined a lot of things in the game with very questionable decisions. Making academy random would be a good way to continue the trend.

i agree when it comes to prem squads but as of now it feels better by the few games i played today cause they buffed german bolt actions and nerfed the soviet submachinegun damage and when it comes to invasion i think it’s being build up pretty good though i miss the closed alpha days with the small captured zones and the bloody cluster fucks with the multikills, it was a mess but really fun (nice pfp btw XD
Current Academy is too strict about its rules and so obvious not a fun function but a mechanism forcing players to play and upgrade.
Also, it’s nonsense that lv2/3 soldiers upgrades need 2/4h??? Who will play this game constant for 4h??? It’s ok that it need 5min for a upgrade, not instant, but fo 4h??? For what? Anyone knows it’s just arrays of stats, takes less than 1ms to be process and stored, why so mean to players?
Also, FPS game shouldnt be so complecated with so many surrounding mechanism and those mechanism isnt fun at all!
Premium account time, when it was leaked on the Russian forum, it gave a 50% time reduction on the academy. They want to annoy you so you buy their premium.
you don’t have to play/runthe game 4 hours for the upgrade to happen the countdown is going on no matter what you’re doing
I know it, but 4h also means the next day. Most players wont keep playing or even have the time with PC for 4h after work/school back home in one night.
Start training a soldier before going to work, then another one after getting home but before dinner, then one before you head to bed.

Every seconds of sleeping ,especially able to wake up later, can cause millions of housing price. And at work, impossible to reach PC.
You do not have to be ingame for the timer to go down. You only have to be ingame to start the upgrade, and to complete the upgrade.
Many players and I wont be able to reach PC at all times, only in night 7~11PM is the most possible to reach their PC.
In morning, most ppl wont have time to waste any seconds, one more seconds of sleep in the morning is worth than anything. 1min of more sleep means 1km near to the urban center of city and 100K or more of housing price.
Well if you don’t want to spent time on the game, don’t complain you don’t get the stuff you want to get.
Not saying the ammount of time needed shouldn’t get reduced. I’m only talking about how people should treat the system.
