First of all, I apologize as English is not my first language, so this might be a bit uncomfortable to read.
I’m writing this post to share my thoughts on this Halloween event, particularly to express my disappointment and frustration with this game. I’m not usually an active forum participant—I mostly just read other people’s comments rather than engaging myself—but this event has compelled me to make my very first post.
I have one question for the designers of this event: What exactly was your purpose in designing this? Was it to push players to spend money, or did you simply not have the time or effort to properly design this event?
I’ll admit the rewards are generous, which is a positive aspect. However, overall, this event has been nothing but a source of frustration for me. Setting aside the scoring system, the difficulty and gameplay mechanics are simply disastrous. In terms of difficulty, I’ve played over 10 rounds in the past two days, and I haven’t been able to get past the green exploding monster stage even once. But I believe that stage is just the breaking point—from the very first stage, you have to play extremely carefully because if you take just a few hits, you enter a stunned state. If you’re lucky, you’ll make it to the next stage, but by then your teammates have already killed all the monsters while you move forward with nearly zero points. Then you’re very likely to repeat the same scenario in the next stage. If you’re unlucky, everyone dies together, and you’re left staring at your game record showing you’ve only earned a few dozen points—when the daily requirement is 6,000 points.
On the other hand, there’s the gameplay itself. It seems this event only has one way to play. I wouldn’t mind if it were high difficulty but offered multiple gameplay approaches—at worst, we could treat it like a souls-like game. Or if it were an easy game with only one playstyle, I could treat it like playing L4D—a bit monotonous, but still enjoyable. But the biggest problem is that this event is extremely difficult AND only offers one way to play. This keeps making me wonder: what kind of experience are these game designers trying to give us?
I feel this event delivers nothing but a painful experience. Forget about whether a game makes me happy—the most basic purpose should be to give me some sense of enjoyment. If the event rewards were poor, I could simply ignore it. But this event dangles a carrot in front of me while only offering endless struggle. If your goal wasn’t for players to enjoy this event but rather to push them to spend money, then congratulations—I believe you’ve achieved that goal with some players. However, I also feel a tremendous amount of malice from you. Spending money really isn’t the issue for me, but at the very least, I want to spend it happily, not feel forced into it.
I’m not lying to you—I’ve already invested money into this game.

I really love this game for now, I’m not sure if I’ll spend on this event, but I will seriously consider whether I want to continue letting this malicious game exist in my life going forward.
