There are many fighters in the game without bombs like bf109-k4. They were designed to counter bombers. But too strong AA makes the fighter lose its value. When I play fighters, I often encounter the following situations.
When I’m attacking enemy bombers or dogfighting other fighters, AA on the ground can kill me with just one round.Even knowing that the enemy has built an AA, it is impossible to avoid being destroyed, because the complex ground environment makes it difficult for the pilot to find the AA, and the player who controls the AA can easily kill the pilot by using the preview circle. Even the enemy builds AA outside the combat zone, the downed pilot player cannot take revenge by manipulating the ground squad.
Maybe we can balance it by reducing the rotation speed of AA or increasing the HP of the fighter?
Dude… new AA have less RoF,less ammo and one barrel compared to the old one,if some player on the ground is able to anticipate your trajectory is not AA OP you need fly better, current AA require skill for intercept fast plane is to much “Far away” for be called OP
The AA should be spottable from the air … thats all a tank can spot AT gun … jsut do the same
You can easily “mark” AA emplacements from your plane the same way you do with a tank by pressing “V”. I do that often with tanks, when I want to bomb accurately…
But why do you need to see AA better? If you’re using a bomb-less fighter, you really should NOT engage AA emplacements in any way: avoid at all costs, engaging one anyway is the equivalent of a schoolgirl challenging Mike Tyson in a boxing match.
AA is easy to spot and avoid nonetheless, when using a fast and nimble fighter.
- first, the sound. AA fire a very distinctive sound, as soon as you hear one, immediately make an evasive maneuver to the side.
- fly high! AA will have a lot of trouble targeting you accurately if you are far away
- tracers. AA shots all have tracers. If you see green bolts passing by you towards the sky, evade.
Then, use the terrain to evade completely: there’s a forest nearby? Fly right over it. Chances are trees will block the AA gunner’s view. There’s a hill nearby? Even easier. Just remember to NEVER fly in a straight line while targeted and you’ll be fine.
Never manage to spot one, only tanks when i’m in plane. Not even AT guns.
It works
You can even mark machine gun emplacements if you’re precise enough…
Thought when really high up, it might require you to mash the “V” key til you get it…
Do you have any screenshot?
I was flying multiple times against AA and i was trying to spot it but never managed, and i was looking right on him and spammed V, still got only “basic” red marker.
It’s not that i don’t belive you but my experience is different.
Try it on training youll see u just cant spot it, and place a marker isnt really helpful
Skill issue
Ahahaha yeah skill issue nice answer kiddo
Not really, no. When I’ve spotted one of those while in the air, I immediately start evasive maneuvers while maintaining “c” to look around if I’m getting shot at… while also being pursued by the enemy plane (I never take out bomb less fighters unless enemy is also in the sky.) So no time to take screenies.
But basically, any soldier, using any type of vehicle, can mark things the same way a foot soldier can. There’s no difference, it’s identical method. A pilot isn’t “locked out” of the possibility to mark AA, mg, or AT emplacements. It’s just harder because you fo it from much… MUCH farther away.
You can V spot in a plane but it is more hard now because spotting distance get decreased different update ago, plus if there is any type of smoke or flame near the thing you whant spot the marking dont work
On training ground, there’s simply NO ENEMY AA whatsoever… so yeah, in that sense, you can’t mark em…
You cannot mark your own team constructions.
Also, like I said, marking IS useful:
It’s useful with bombers. Makes accurate bombing, or more accurate at least.
Yeah that was what i wanted to do but friendly does not show up.
Well i will take your word for it.
Tanks are no problem, but i never had luck with structures.
It caused me problems sometimes. When there’s an enemy tank BESIDE an enemy mg, AT, or AA. I want to mark the tank as it’s the only thing of interest to me (priority target, most rewarding). Sometimes it’ll mark the mg instead… and won’t let me mark the tank after, because it’s too close to that mg mark.
When I dive to bomb, tank might have moved…
But yeah, marking heavy, or light lmg emplacements is also helpful, when there’s no tank to bomb: it’s the next best thing you can do for the team, to neutralize those.
Or if possible fly low. A giant gun can only move so fast.
The only thing I find weird about new AA is that they cant overheat anymore unless you keep shooting after reloading a new mag and that the Soviet one wast much space.
Overheat seemed to stay the same but with new gun models…
I know but I doubt its intentional that I can dump entire British AA magazine without fearing overheating.
I have never seen anyone using aa against fighter.
They are generally used against op attackers like ju 88 or bombing raids.
