Maybe it’s only me, but one thing I liked about the old academy section, was that there you could take a look to all your soldiers organized by class, and quickly check how many soldiers you have of each class, their rank, etc (you could even check in which squad they are, if that’s the case).
Now doing that is a hell, as in the menu where you change squad soldiers they are organized by level, not by class. I’m realizing I miss that a lot, it would be great to have that menu again, even if the academy training is disabled, and also would be great to have management options for the soldiers there. Maybe a new menu called soldier management, or something like that.
At least they could introduce some sort of filters for the current soldier management menu, so we can filter by class (I think that was already suggested).
It’s probably mostly unnecessary, at this point. If the new progression system for soldiers is going to stick around, you won’t need/have a huge reserve for very long, and new people not at all. Once a squad has who it’s going to in it, you never have to switch them out again.
i, rather have it like current system, as long as a casual player can get to my playfield or get as much soldiers as i can.
its a nice change that still needs alot of work, hopefully it will be tweaked , making either pay costumers and f2p or casual players happy.
they cant only satisfy veterans/whales, we need new players to stay, if the experience to get something its trully hard, most wont stay, even if its a nice game.
we need a solid playerbase , a overall happy one, right now most arent happy how currently is,
i m, right now coz i had the orders saved, but if most playerbase cant there is a problem.
I’m not suggesting changing it. The only problem as it sits now is the only way to get new troops is silver orders, which mean new players can’t readily fill squad slots as they unlock them.
Yeah, getting new soldiers is for sure an issue now, specially for new players, we’ll see how that it’s going in the future… maybe they will need to adjust / balance some things… The players that we have a huge reserver of soldiers, maybe it’s not a problem, as we don’t need to get new ones, at least not a lot of them (mainly upgrade soldiers we already have), but yeah, for new players… we’ll see.
Anyway, my point was about soldier check / management. Yeah, maybe with the new system is not that necessary, but as I do have a huge reserve of soldiers, I guess right now could be still a problem that can be solved simply introducing some kind of filters so we can filter by class, etc.
And talking about inactive squads, as now getting new soldiers could be a problem, in my opinion would be nice that they allow us to leave emtpy the inactive squads, so that way we don’t need extra soldiers to fill the squads we are not using. I don’t know about the rest of you, but in my case, I fill all my inactive squads with standard 1 star soldiers, and keep the “good ones” to use in the new squads that I’m using and leveling up. I guess this won’t be viable anymore, at least for new players or new campaings / factions you play.
Btw, then 1 star soldiers won’t exist anymore? Because with silver orders you get 2-5 star soldiers.
Now I’m curious about that, how do you guys fill your inactive squads?
Yeah that would be the ideal thing, I would like to do that, but that way you need good soldiers and equipment (grenades etc) for every inactive squad, and that is not reachable for every player, specially in early game and with the new system.
I would like to have all my squads like that in the future, but right now it’s a bit difficult for me (and I have almost the highest level with some factions).
