About premium squads

Is it necessary to take the unit into combat for them to function as an exp card or is just being among the chosen units enough?

Just being there does it count or should I use them?

You need to use the premium squad itself to benefit from their 100% XP bonus(which applies only to the premium squad and not every squad)

I wasn’t planning on doing it, that’s why I was asking questions. What goes through these types of people’s heads? xd

you buy it if you want play unique squad with unique weapons. Xp boost is addicion

You don’t buy premium squads for the bonus xp… it’s meaningless in the end.

You buy those for the novelty, if you like the uniforms or paint jobs, and for unique weapons or mechanics (paratroopers, rocket vehicles).

A few also choose premium squads for their relative efficiency, or simply because they want something useful “right now” when they don’t have time to grind (because premium squads come fully equipped, with maximum star weaponry and vehicles).

But… never for the measly +100% xp while using the squad.

Well, since it’s attached, it should…

Oh, it DOES work…

I only meant to say that you should only see that +100% xp as a lil bonus coming with the squad, and never the first reason to buy one. If anything, it should be the least important factor in getting a premium squad.

If you really look for more xp first and foremost, premium TIME subscription is what you are looking for. With it, you get a good xp bonus, whatever squad you use. The 2 additional squad slots coming with that subscription are a boon too (EVEN IF I BELIEVE EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE MORE FREE SLOTS TOTAL), and latter the +100 barracks space per faction/campaign is a nice touch.

My advice is to wait for the 50% off for the yearly subscription. That deal happens once or twice a year, generally one is during the holidays. At 50% it’s really worth it and will beat any unique premium squad you would purchase, cost/benefit wise.

The experience bonus only works on the squad itself.
However, there is and will be value in using them. Some premium squads are OP, or very strong. Examples are almost all machine gun squads of the Germans, especially mg 42 and 45.
The flamethrowers of the Brits and Italians.
Some vehicles are kaliope, jagdpanther, maybe panther A.
Will be relevant, because after the merger of campaigns, especially the Germans will have a lot of prem units and people who have them can use this “layout” for quick farming of new currency.

Reading it says that they give experience for the soldiers and the campaign… now I don’t know if it is soldiers from the squad or soldiers in general.

Translation failure?

Thanks for the answers.

Yes, looking to the future it could be worth it. But for now who knows haha

Yes, by experience they campaign experience as well. In the future, people with a “set” of prem squads will be able to unlock new items as quickly as possible.
I have a more funny situation - I already pumped almost all units in the game and, naturally, opened all levels in all campaigns

It’s soldiers from the very squad.

The ONLY thing premium squads do not have at their maximum, are the soldiers “stars” or ranks. You get them at 4 stars, with pre learned perks.

But those perks, can be re rolled! (Or learn the fifth star) To learn new perks, thought, you need to earn xp for your squad, and soldiers normally. That’s where that small +100% comes into effect.

Same with campaign progress xp, but I’d never rely on premium squads to lvl a campaign.
