About M4 tank M61 APCBC

Why can’t I use M61APCBC for M4 tanks? German Pz4 tanks can use APCBC i think this unfair

It may be for the so-called balance to prevent the jumbo from being too strong

I understand, so I choose to drive an A20 instead of a tank in most cases.By the way, the U.S. tank with the strongest anti-tank capability is the M8.

after all only jumbo is can be usefull in American tanks…?

Oh my dear kid listen to me enlisted have made the tank in a realistic approch, the tanks need the infantry support for scauting and protect themself from enemy infantry, meantime they shoot at the tanks or soldier in front of them, every tanks of this game in his campagni, his able to do serius damage but need infantry support withaut infantry support is an easy pray, the jumbo is only an op monster wo never fougth during operation overlord the dev add him because “YES” is like you use a m16 in ww1

this topic is not for jumbo :anguished:

Nope because jumbo exist in normandy, maybe the dev add this later whem they add to germany tiger and panther for balance the gameplay

all tanks currently only use the default AP from warthunder

im sure it will be fixed some day

no my friend the jumbo is a tiny fucker compared to the T28… and yes i know it was a prototype and only 2 were built but it was tested and proven to work, the crazy thing to think about is if they ever revived the super heavy tanks but made em with new age materials powered by a serious cummins turbo diesel engine they would be far deadlier then when they were originally conceived

As M72 solid-shot AP rounds were no longer issued to front line troops by 1943, and M61 APCBC (with HE filler) was the standard issue round for Shermans and US 75mm guns in general during the Normandy campaign and throughout Europe.

So it certainly should have M61, as I’ve argued for several times, but I suppose we’re still waiting to see when the devs get around to adjusting for such, if ever.
