but ilyushin is little different
so how to bomb accurate with this plane ?
Each plane is different, aiming wise.
It depends on what angle you use when you unload bomb.
Do you dive bomb? Do you carpet bomb? I believe bomb weights and types also impact a bit their trajectories. Speed impacts trajectory as well.
The plane you talk about, is harder to bomb using a diving method (it’s not really made for that, it won’t really pull back up well after a dive)
So yes… it’s a less precise bomber, better used to “carpet” bomb.
Can still explode vehicles. But the only way is… practice. There’s no magical way or precise aim/indicator I found for it.

I can even dive bomb with fighters and couple of times with ju 188 on high altitudes. somewhat precise point for marker scene is enuogh for me but i couldt find any for ilyushin
On high altitude it’s possible… thought you will have to try pulling up much sooner because this plane is notoriously bad at climbing back up.
Another problem with it is I’m not certain it spawns at a super high altitude, and certainly will never gain it back completely in the time it takes for a “go reload and come back maneuver”
Yeah it’s one of the tricky planes to bomb accurately with.
But!
If I remember well, there’s no better one to strafe the ground with. It’s canons are simply put, fantastic and it’s shells explode! At least it makes up greatly for the lack of precision the bombs have.
Try spraying an outdoor cap with it… I guarantee nobody will be left standing! (And in doubt that’s when you also unload bombs for added brutality)
Thinking about it. It’s one of my favourite bomber planes.

Bombing depends of your angle attack / speed / bomb weight
IL-2 is an armoured, heavy attack aircraft. It’s not a dive bomber so it takes more time to learn how to use it. Just don’t try to dive bomb with it because it pulls like a bus

Really? I always kill tanks with rockets in a dive. When you know, when to stop dive, its easy.

I am always dive rocketing ( well sounds absurd) alliy tanks in normandy with fw a-8 but bcs i have clear refence point on hitmarker of plane. I couldnt find any in ilyushing though. Its bombing is too inconsistent compared to others.
