That’s very annoying “features”. Especially new players don’t even know this game do have the ability to tk.
Just now, my whole tank get tked by friendlies’ artillery. Makes me extreme annoyed and quit that match. An arty mark was placed to the sector where is nearest to friendlies spawn point, and most friendlies and me and my tank is capturing…
Or perhaps give some more visual notice of TKs and penalty (if it has).
BTW: Tank itself can also tk by run over/push others.
Grenade seems not? But fires (by Molotov or flamethrower) can?
It is the FEATURE that you mention. And in WarThunder, it is common to see artillery TeamKills, even we could see they teamkill a friendly Jet or Heli with artillery
It is felt that the shelling red circle is not the same place as the actual shooting point. I called for artillery outside the point and the red circle did not cover the point, but there were still teammates killed.
Shouldn’t be able to call in Arty without solid intel regarding friendly AND enemy postitions. If a firendly marks a postition too close to their own, fuggit, danger close, fire for effect. If you fire blindly and kill friendlies, that’s a problem, and there should be mechanics to prevent it.
Hold on, there is no way we can simply suggest to punish players at this stage of development for tk. Simply because artillery is extremely buggy, sometimes lands almost randomly outside marked location. There is no way how we can know, it was actually meant as toxic behaviour of your teammates. Also, tk by the tank is not happening all that often, most players I have met know, that people usually die when they get smashed by a tank (and it doesn´t really matter if it is a friendly tank or not) and there is no profit for tanker either. Most of my tank tks are simply because people (often AI) simply runs straight under my tracks.
Penalty for certain amounts of teamkills should be introduced at later stages of development when artillery is polished.
Beside the artillery also nades and the flamethrower are used by teamkillers. I got killed by a teamkiller named Sa1nt who used the flamethrower to mow down the whole section just because he wanted to use the Flak I had just build on an overlooking hill. There was no enemy around and after he tried to shoot at me of block the sight, he finally burned the entire troop to be able to get into that Flak.
If you see such behavior during a closed alpha, I fear how ordinary players would behave once the game goes public. Atm there is also not way to report those annoying ppl.
