What about one that has it?

idk, do you think it helps? I do know for certain that removing all uneccarry weight off the barrel will make your rifle as accurate as possible.
Let’s look at the Johnson Rifle for our example becasue it was designed by the US Marines that were fighting on the front lines and know what is perfect. They send the Marines in first to clear out the way for the army. They didn’t have time for the M1 Garand and all the BS that got put into it. It’s not evan a contest. The barrel can be changed w/o machining your rifle.

The hand guard connects against the receiver and the barrel is floating w/o any unecc. weight. This rifle will be accurate all day. The M1 1921AC and the 21/28 are also perfect examples.
You can see that some of the BAR’s have their flash hiders evan removed becasue weight at the end of the barrel will reduce your accuracy the most. As you shoot the entire gun flexes with recoil and having weight on the end of the barrell will make it flex more and effect accuracy.
The photos I posted were BAR’s with an ACTUAL field modified vertical foregrip which helps you control the gun rising up.
the muzzle device was visibly removed. Which I had read in liner notes somewhere off the internet about what the US Marines did to their BAR’s. Interesting… Three is a modern one in Syria that has been converted into sniper… looks bad ass, but I digress. I heard they had many diff. mods of this rifle including sniper… Anyway it is debatable how much the for grip helps, IDK; but those BAR’s also appear to be cut down as well.
it’s being cleaned.
I thought so but the weight doesnt seem to change when removing the bayonet.
Tbh it should be a hotkey to attach/remove/fold bayonets tbh
