Ability to change the AI squad formation

I’m honestly surprised no one has suggested this before, but we should be able to change the formation in which the AI soldiers follow us, instead of just a random group, we should have multiple options.
Yes, I already know that we have the “close, standard, wide” formation but it could do with improvement. Such as, a Line formation,

I’m sure it would be a useful Idea so my AI soldiers don’t get hopelessly obliterated

they kinda do walk in a line if youre running far ahead of them and go through a doorway

They have. They cant even gets bots to follow properly. I agree be nice anyway

I would also love the equivalent of the “x” key in oldschool command and conquer, which just means “disperse randomly immediately” and is used when you run into grenadier, flame tanks, bombers, etc. Would be good when artillery or bombers hit, or there’s a greyzone tank, machinegun nest, etc, instead of just running a bee-line into the meatgrinder like an IDIOT. “Emergency scatter,” basically.
