A thought regarding BR I and IV

Recently, I’ve been thinking that it may be an interesting idea to make BR I and IV more appealing to use, and I think I have a system that could work.

Firstly: I like BR III … I do however understand that it absolutely is a tough ask for BR I to go against. So, I want to retain the ability to play all BR’s but adjust it slightly.

Step 1: Consolidate into 4 BR’s BR I & II matching together and BR III & IV matching together
Step 2: Add option in settings that allows yourself to be up tiered with low BR equipment. You will see how this could be an advantage below.
Step 3: Adjust Ticket usage based on BR of the squad spawned:

In Low BR (BR I & II):

  • BR I squad charges 6 tickets to spawn
  • BR II squads charge 12 tickets to spawn
  • Vehicles add 12 Tickets to the cost (A BR I vehicle costs 18, a BRII vehicle would cost 24)

In High BR (BR III & IV):

  • BR III squad charge 6 tickets to spawn
  • BR IV squads charge 12 tickets to spawn
  • Vehicles add 12 Tickets to the cost (A BR III vehicle costs 18, a BRIV vehicle would cost 24)
  • BR I and II Squads charge 3 tickets to spawn
  • BR I and II vehicles add 6 tickets to the cost instead (A BR I or II vehicle costs 9)

By changing to this, BR I and III become tactical decisions to use rather than just overlooked because better equipment.

  • It also adds a layer of balance when someone joins with lesser equipment.

I really like this idea. The ticket system would work great as well, balance-wise.

Defenders are completely unaffected by tickets. It has been observed that Axis get far more defense missions than Allies on BR3-5 so we shouldn’t underestimate players’ tendency to exploit these kinds of “features”.

Im afraid that the implementation of this system would lead to the playerbase creating new factions trends based on what faction gets the most defensive missions on the BR.
