A suggestion of How to Handle the Monitization of the game

There is no doubt that the monitization of Enlisted will be the Micro Transaction method. In other words, EVERY and I mean EVERY way to improve or advance can either be bought or earned by grinding. This is common in all free to play games. At one time Enlisted was not going to be Free to Play but investor/player demand forced to game to be Free to play and that lead to the micro transaction method.

No one is forcing you to pay to advance. The trade off, of course, is extended grind. You make the choice. However, if you choose to pay, you don’t have to break the bank.

Many successful players of F2P games establish a budget for a game. I would suggest a beginning budget of $5.00US a month. That is slightly more then $1.00US a week or less the 20 centsUS per day. This is certainly not a lot of money and one could skip a cold drink or a hot coffee to pay for this.

At the present rate, $4.99US will buy you 500 gold in Enlisted. That rate is one cent per gold piece. (I expect that will change). You may then spend it where you feel you need to, but YOU DON"T HAVE TO SPEND IT!!! You can let it accumulate, or not even add more $$$ or just make one purchase and your done. Your choice. You can, if you want, add extra $$$ as a birthday or Christmas present to yourself. But what ever you do, STICK TO YOUR BUDGET.

In fact, you don’t even have to do this at all. No one is forcing you to spend money. If you don’t want to spend money for any reason, then DON’T. Just play the game and enjoy yourself.

I make this suggestion for those that want to reduce the grind and the only way to do this in a F2P game is to invest $$$ and time. The amount you should budget should you do this is your decision.

I make no statement that you should or must spend $$$ on Enlisted. I just suggest this method should you desire to do so.

Thanks

This isn’t the issue. The issue lies with the P2W aspects.

  • More squads into battle.
  • Having the OP weapon upgrades much earlier than anyone else could ever hope to obtain them.
  • Op perks same way
  • Different class compositions in the premium squads
  • P2W weapons
    And of course:
  • Skipping the lootboxes.

I am not talking about the P2W aspects here but only a method for budgeting for Micro Transactions. Nothing other than that.

I am aware of the P2W problems and have outlined and criticized many of them in other posts. One hopes that some of these issues will be corrected.

Thanks for the response

Guess this kind of thinking can be really helpful for people who have bad spending habits. I make sure to never get carried away spending money on games is to never have the money in the first place. :cowboy_hat_face:
