I try to be active on this forum, make suggestions, fight takes I don’t like, etc. Every time I do so, everyone is in disagreement, because of one simple thing.
We don’t know whether the devs are going for asymetrical faction balance or equalizing everything.
I suggest devs speak out if they’re trying to battlefield-ify enlisted or say in which direction they will take the factions (current examples: USSR armor, German high-BR tanks, USA air superiority - are they trying to keep it this way or make them equal?)
I am not a dev, but I can give a hint.
Spoiler
It is in the direction of introducing donate-squads.

I feel pretty certain we all can answer that question by just looking at the items they are introducing to each faction, without the need for devs to say anything.
not only is equipment with mirroring stats, its actually the same weapons, in captured form, appearing all over the game for all factions. it has been creeping for a while, now its plain in the open.
the worst blind is the one that dont want to see.
I’d say ot’s uncertain in some parts, like how they’re adding bayonets for soviets and not for USA or Germany
I don’t know about the German army, but in the RA, for every type of weapon designed to have a bayonet, it was a mandatory part of the gear and came standard with the weapon. This practice continues to this day. AK 100-series rifles are issued with bayonets, and carrying them is required. It would be strange if the Soviets didn’t have them."
There are weapons in the german arsenal capable of using bayonets, yet they come without them in the game (ex. MkB 42 H). This is frustrating, since they had many oppourtunities at adding them, yet they only added a bayonet capability for another soviet AR (federov).
So it’s kinda unfair how they get two ARs with bayonets, yet germans zero (even though they realistically should have them)

Dumb question, what is a donate squad?
I’m for making the equipment near-equal, to the extent that which the equipment is in itself unique from a historical perspective (rate of fire, magazine, role with some wiggle room etc)
An FG.42 II shouldn’t be the same as an AVT-40 20 shouldn’t be the same as a T20. We all know there should be some difference, but what matters is that they’re equally capable in practised hands, and at this point they pretty much are.
To me, the whole asymmetrical balance issue (at least, to the extend that it currently stands in the game relative to the pace) creates more of an issue of making other gear of the same nation useless, and therefore a waste of developer time unless re-tuned.
