Wow. I once saw a similar situation on Normandy. I was flying a BF109 G-6 and was flying alongside a BF 110 G-2 and out of nowhere I saw the BF 110 explode. I looked back and saw the wreckage of a P-47 falling to the ground. I had apparently witnessed a mid-air collision. I sadly forgot to take screenies though.
