I think it’s not very fair when certain event rewards are different per factions. I think it’s no secret that there are a lot of people who only play one faction (I’m one of them), and if we take the last event as an example, Axis players should feel a little disappointed. Knowing how many good things the Allies have in the Tunisian campaign, they got another very strong weapon, with an all-new unique squad. But I won’t start with Axis bs, but more how I see the situation, in other words, as I think it should be.
Very simple - squad for Allies, squad for Axis. Weapon for Allies, weapon Axis. Tank for Allies and tank Axis and so on.
This way, everyone will be motivated to play, and invest time (money… sniff) into the event. Let’s not forget that such unequal reward experiments can, in some campaigns, also cause balance trouble.
I’m not sure about this though i’m 100% for unique axis squad as the next reward event but what that weapon should be is up for debate. But for me I would want a mas-38 event squad
good idea really, although that squad of machine guns for Tunisia is terrible, things as they are, but balancing the rewards of events obtaining one for each faction is excellent
Maybe - if there was a clear reward system for that - we would always know what and in what campaign to expect the next reward. Squad in one event, and another faction squad in another? Possible. But in that case, Axis should get a squad in the Tunisian campaign as well.
Regarding the “balance” I very much doubt that this will ever come, because, well, it is the Second World War and each army stood out in something, be it its powerful aviction, technology and its different types of tank destroyers (USA) , the simple manufacture of good weapons, the perfect design of a tank with good mobility, armor and firing power (ussr) and finally the faction that most innovated and surprised the world by creating one of the best light machine guns the fg42, a machine gun heavy that in itself causes panic to the soldiers (mg-42) completely monstrous tanks almost unstoppable (tiger and king tiger) and finally the first assault rifle in the world the STG44.
Taking all that into account, each faction had its own in which I stand out for what I doubt a balance as such, I think that the game will depend on the decisions you make to the different adversities that arise.
