No, that’s not correct.
What’s happening here is that you just cherry picked sources that support your agenda. And quite deliberately ignoring other sources that say something completely different.
Just to push totally lame changes into the game that doesn’t provide any meaningful improvement. Quite the opposite. You want to ruin unique weapon and remake it into yet another BAR like weapon.
Please I beg you to find me a source that’s says the Johnson lmg definitely fired at 900rpm. And if by unique you mean its completely uncontrollable and burns through all it’s ammo in a few seconds then yeah I would like to change it and coincidentally the facts are on my side.

I’m not going to try to convince someone who is already convinced of his own truth. 
Especially someone who deliberately cherry picks sources just to create a narrative to serve his agenda.
The weapon is easily playable in its current state. In fact, it is very good.
But rather than letting others have fun with it. When it’s obviously not a weapon for you. You are deliberately pushing an agenda just to change it to suit your own liking.
Which is quite pathetic. Especially in this context, that gun is quite unique at the moment. And there is no equivalent in the game that offers this kind of unique gunplay.
Whereas you want to throw it all away. And turn that weapon into just another BAR variant, of which there are plenty of in the game already (±10, if we count weapons like Ke and other various premium/BP weapons).
Gameplay should always be above some HA agendas, especially since it’s something that really can’t be 100% proven.

Personally I don’t want to turn it into a BAR, I want to downtier it to br2 with the correct nerfs.
Also give it 25 round , that would make it awsome but I fear that would put it in BR 3

Show me the sources that I “don’t want people to see”, you can’t be because they don’t exist. All you’ve done is ignore facts. If your approach was used to balancing every weapon then within a few updates each gun would have fantasy stats.
BR2 is the most overbloated BR in the game.

Do actually think the Johnson is currently a viable choice at br4? It’s only br4 as a token, just so the Devs can say the US has a br4 mg. Br2 bloat can be fixed by kicking out the OP br2 smgs, I do agree the Devs should use their resources to fill holes in the tech tree instead of just adding more br2 content.
It doesn’t matter IF the Johnson is capable of a higher rpm, because it wasn’t used at the rpm, so the Johnson in game should be a representation on how it was used, NOT how it COULD of been used.

I will always prefer it over weapons such as MG42, Te-4, DT-29.
Sure, better BR4 MGs definitely exists as well. Such as Type Hei LMG, Federov MG, MG45, MG42 early.
But Johnson LMG is definitely one of my most favorite TT MGs.
Unfortunately the current Johnson lmg is based on a lie, the current form is a fantasy based on poor and lazy research by the Devs.
But even if the Johnson lmg wasn’t nerfed and kept it’s 900rpm, I still think it ought to be br3 because the 20 round mag paired with a absurd rpm is a bad combination.
Yeah, and that’s why all SF rifles sucks.

I should clarify, it sucks at being a mg. Also the fg42 GL with 900rpm is also worse than the standard variant with a lower rpm.
Doesn’t it also have terrible MG movement deviation penalty? I bet its not much different than German BR2 MGs.
Ah, so suddenly the problem is MG weapon type and not small mag capacity in combination with high rof.
Anyway, that’s why I proposed this:
It has the lowest dispersion penalty for movement of all American and British machine guns.
Except for the Vickers Berthier. Which is broken because it doesn’t have one.
