A-20G-25 Bug or am I missing something?

So ever since I unlocked the plane months ago (Stopped playing for a while until the new update finally dropped) I’ve had issues where bombing runs often result in the damage of my wings.

At first I thought the plane had some weird mechanic where too-sharp of turns at too high of speed would tear it apart. But testing this proved I could take some pretty sharp turns out of a high speed nosedive to no detriment.

Then I wondered if perhaps I was turning to soon (cancelling a lot of forward movement) leaving me still in my bombs blast radius. But the damage always seemed to occur before the first bombs would feasibly even land, let alone go off.

Now I am beginning to think that I am in fact, colliding with my bombs in mid-air. I have a nasty habit of forgetting to reduce my planes engines before the dive (Often resulting in close-calls with the ground or trees, but I tend to avoid crashing 99% of the time) and I am wondering if theres a bug where if I am simply going too fast and have my engines maxed out during a dive, if I am in fact outrunning my own bombs when they drop and hitting them in mid-air. (Would also explain the pattern of damage, where if I immediately turn, I clip the tip of the wing, if I go straight, I hit the center of both wings)

Obviously I can’t really confirm this without a third-person view, hitbox data, etc. But given how long this issue has existed without being addressed and without any threads on it being made (that I can find) am I missing something or is there just not enough people flying the A-20g like they stole it to notice the issue?

That plane does have low resistance to G forces, so it’s why the wings break on sharp turns

I did damage my flaps by going way too fast, but this never occurred to me before.
Amazing how realistic the mechanics are in this game.

This doesn’t appear to be the case at all, in practice mode I cannot scratch the plane no matter how hard the turn is. My pilot will nearly black out in these runs but the plane is fine. A steep dive into pulling up at high speed and straight into a left turn and the plane is golden.

But when I am doing my bombing runs, I don’t even begin to start blacking out, and still the plane will take damage pretty much immediately.

I have suffered damage from my own bombs a handful of times by being WAAYYYY too low - getting grass and leaves in the engine intakes kind of low

And of course we know that bombs kill aircraft because we’ve all had 1 or 2 or a few more kills by bombing a trailing enemy a/c that was right overhead the explosion and too low!

plus overspeed rips flaps, and also undercarriage if you ever try to land in a paddock or beach for any reason… or on a carrier.

Flaps are actually one part that doesn’t get damaged. Its usually either one of the tips gets ripped off entirely, or I take severe damage to front center between the body and the engines (fuel lines take a hit too in this)

I thought it was the explosions at first, but the damage occurs before the explosions go off and its extremely consistent in what part gets hit, the damage is identical every time, if I was getting caught in the blast surely I would suffer damage more randomly or… outright die to it.

?? I thought we were talking about flaps - have them deployed at too fast speed.

Flaps and gear only take damage if they are deployed.

Just check the replay.
