5 Campaigns I would like to see in Enlisted

Hello all. I am loving all the campaigns enlisted has and I think the developers have a real opportunity to do something “different” in representing unique campaigns throughout the life of this game. Here are my top 5 picks.

We shall see. I think it would be super cool to see it along with the others on the list, but we shall see. It would be a good Melting pot campaign for sure, just like Tunisia can be as well.

I’ve always thought it might it be a fun idea to do “mini campaigns” based on some of the really short conflicts ofbtu interwar/early war period.

Little 15-20 lvl campaigns like the invasion of poland, invasion of france, italo-ethiopian war, invasion of greece, or the invasion of manchuria.

I can’t wait to spray down polacks with a dinky Pz. I.

I like to see a Russo-Japanese Conflict added as well.

I’d prefer russo Japanese over sino japanese war any day. Your #2 is definitely my most wanted however, that theater was brutal…

A fun addition, often mentioned but never seen in games at all would be the initial blitzkrieg against the British and French forces culminating at Dunkirk. We will see tons of uneducated trolls saying stuff about French surrender, but those guys were pretty heroic sacrificing themselves to cover the Brits… there would be a nice vehicle selection for both sides, too.

Dunkirk could have some interesting secondary objectives added to it for sure. I have been pushing for #2 since CBT. I did a video Finland Video.

might do another one about how they can put the Winter War in, but I have a feeling they are pushing for it as well.

Finally… That particular war theater has been requested by the general gaming community for years to developers of various different war game and never was granted… If DarkFlow realeases it, it will be a blast for sure.

one of the issues so far is the shoehorning of side weapons like the FNAB-43 and BREN which end up sidelining other weapons from the actual nation, like the STG-44/MP43 and Browning 1919A4.

Adding more campaigns is an easy solution from our point, but each of these weapons, soldiers and maps have to be carefully crafted, now have a death to a 50kg through an entire building.

Jokes aside, the issue with more campaigns, is more grinding. Queue times aside (ive played quite a bit and the worst queue times are rarely above 30 seconds) Nobody wants to grind 10 more tech trees, especially when at least 3 of them are going to be primarily german or have a lot of german influence; something already abundantly evident with only 3 existing campaigns; You grind the MP 40 3 times, and the Panzer IV is located in the tree twice, and if im not mistaken the g41 is also in two campaigns.

Imagine this on 5 additional campaigns. Now, even if its a “minor nations” campaign primarily made from czech, finnish, austrian etc weapons, most of these countries took a lot of inspiration from germany or just directly ripped them off, which means you arent really getting a ton of new things, you’re getting cheap copies which perform worse and feel like a half assed money grab. Italy campaign? thats great but so many of their weapons are already in the game, and with 1942 Afrika planned, i doubt there will really be much left to add besides their Bf-109 copies and the P40. 1942 will likely fall a flat campaign as germany will have 90% of the '41 weapons with the addition of the mid model panzer III only to be on relatively barren and open maps, so really i only see 1945 Pacific as the next option, especially if the current trees wont be reshuffled to add/remove some weapons (two BARs, no 1919A4, M5 and M8 are a joke but jumbo is stupid op)

As cool as a french, british, canadian, irish etc campaign would be, the #1 issue is going to be forcing some poor chumps to grind yet ANOTHER german tech tree with barely any difference from the last one, again something we already see in the current 3 campaigns.

Don’t worry! KeoFox hinted a new grind system in the last Q&A: grinding would be greatly lessened up to your most advanced campaign lvl. Means for ex. Youre lvl 10 in a campaign with the soviets on moscow, but wanna try, say usa in normandy, then the xp gained there will be boosted until you also reach lvl 10 here as well. It’s a system they planned/ are developing

There will be Stalingrad soon or later, saw it on the files.

The Char B was a far better tank then anything the Germans had, it was the doctrine that made them ineffective. Using them piece meal as infantry support, whereas the Germans used them in mass, for quick breakthrough.

Exactly, it’s why I’d be interested in playing that faction. It’s extremely overlooked perhaps because the blitz was fast, but there’s very interesting completely unexplored content here. Again there will be uneducated “muhuhu SURRENDER rofl lmao durr durr”… But let’s be real, this illuminated comment always come from those who believe ww2 started in 41 and forgot it was the French who trained their whole army since ww1… But I Digress. It would also be a fun theater because it would also allow the use of the whole British faction of that time… so you’d get 3 for a single campaign. A bit like I HOPE will happen in Tunisia where I WANT to see Italians, and not JUST Afrika Korps.

Was about to start a new topic related to Manchuria but searched and saw it was mentioned here.
Personally, I think the Manchurian campaign could work well for a few reasons (no particular order)…

  1. Formal Introduction of Japanese forces with totally new squads and weapons
  2. Chinese maps with temple complexes, mountain hill forts, valley villages and rice paddies.
  3. the devs could re use a lot of the Soviet assets which would perhaps make their job easier.
  4. Mongol Cav units?!
  5. I’m no expert but I believe Soviet armor would be OP. However, Japanese defenders could utilize mountainous choke points and anti tank infantry weapons such as the infamous, “lunge mine” (BFV utilized lunge mines so it shouldn’t be too controversial of a weapon to implement) or the type 97 AT rifle… Ultimately we’d mostly use explosive packs anyways like every other campaign LOL.
  6. A large portion of the player base is Eastern European so they can continue to playthrough a unique historical campaign as their favored nation while fighting a new enemy.
  7. I’m a weeb so please add Japanese
