🛩️ 2 Potential fixes for Flight Bugs that have been around for years

This suggestion is just to give attention/fix two components that have been a cause for frustration for a Broad scope of Aircraft for years.

Can I point your attention to two likely areas.

The first is Fuel load:

  • Recently to fix Jet performance issues, 50% of their total fuel load was removed to improve performance. There is also speculation this “fixed” the sliding issue the SU-9 was having upon release (the same sliding issue the FW190 has suffered for years and continues to do so)

Suggestion:

Please reduce all aircraft fuel loads by at least 50% (Better yet, runnin at 30% capacity is the best option). In warthunder you can customise your fuel load and there is nearly never a reason to have more than a minimum load. (as it stands in Enlsited currently fuel is dead weight, its not even required for the engine to run :no_mouth:)

this benefits some more than others.

I am not as convinced as others that it solves all issues, but it cant hurt to implement this to see how it goes.

The Second is Bugged/ Not working Flight Instructor, Mouse Aim Mode

Planes have been having issues in Enlsited for years, most noticeable on but not exclusive to certain Aircraft.

Planes pulling up automatically at speed and other unwanted inputs. This effect happens on multiple aircraft (I suspect all if they go fast enough) But specifically noticeable on the Hurricane as it reaches the speed required quite easily.

After a Discussion with a reddit user and testing, We can Confirm that the “Warthunder” Mouse aim Flight Instructor functionally removes this issue from the equation, while the Enlisted “instructor” is not pulling its weight.

Suggestion:

Can you perhaps check that the “Flight Instructor” Is up to date. It is currently not functioning properly or to the same standard as warthunder.

I Suspect that the Mouse aim Instructor is causing many of the annoyances, perhaps combined with maximum Fuel loads.

Thanks

That flight behavior of fw190 series also exist in warthunder
They are unlikely to change it

I’m really welcome to reduce fuel, but I’m so tired of not solving it for at least 4 years.

And there is definitely an Instructor problem.
Enlisted allows the Instructor to be turned on and off in key mapping the same way as War Thunder, but for some reason it does not work.
This is also an old problem.
By default, the Instructor is enabled.
This makes it very annoying when playing CAS.

Just reduce the fuel, it will get very better.

Well Im not targetting the FW190. these areas apply to all. Targeting the fuel weight and Instructor not working properly in “general”.

Cant Hurt, its a universal Improvement (While 190 does still slide in Warthunder, it is still far smoother)

Yes that annoys me also

There are also some safeties that you can turn off on the instructor in warthunder. Thats absent in Enlisted so I dont even know if they come into play

Goes to show how many care about planes on this forum, +7 hours after release of your suggestion but only 6 likes?

These aren’t even unreasonable, hard to implement or unfair changes.

  • Reduce fuel to 50% for all planes.

  • Make sure the Flight Instructor is up to date.

I hope this post gets the visibility it deserves, if not from the forum members then at least from the helpers.

Just to Clarify further. I will Use the XA-38 as an example (I had this plane in my test mission already so…I used it)

War thunder 100% Fuel Mass is 1742 kg (1 hour and 57 minutes)

Most will run 30% 523kg (35 mins) to avoid performance loss

Enlisted XA-38 is pretty much at max capacity

As you can see there is a decent amount of unnecessary weight (I think most pilots realize how much more performance you get back from dropping your ordnance)

I checked a few other planes. They are running max capacity, Jets are Running 50%
