make it possible so we can block and parry the enemy’s axe/knife/shovel/sword swings using our own melee weapons, so there is more to the melee combat than just clicking the lmb with no chance to fight back.

forced sprinting - once stamina runs out we can still sprint, but the health will slowly drain, the aim will be inaccurate and extra shaky than usual, and possibly even have the concussion effect.

I like this idea, seems like melee battles could finally be more than a contest of who can click fastest.

While interesting, I think this could invalidate stamina as a mechanic. I see this as very difficult to implement well, its either too much health lost and concussion to be useful ever, or its so good that there isn’t a time to not use it. Plus we already have the flask that provides considerable extra sprint.

The fencing might be a fun idea but i dont know if it would add much to the game and should be worth of devtime. But how do you parry a bayonet stabing ? Rarely does anyone use melee weapons so who would you need to parry?
Neat idea but probably not worth the investment.

i prefeer red orchestra 2 implementation of forced sprint, no stamina regen, slow run and lower jump

And very… VERY bad aim while tired!

that too could be a great idea, after all im pretty sure that everyone is sick of having their soldier run 150-200 meters to the front, and during the last 100 meters be running and slowing down to regain stamina, which in the end during a desperate situation, can cause some insane frustration because you cant do anything about your team which desperately needs help

i didnt say anything about bayonet stabbing, that should be de-facto unavoidable.
tho knife should be un-avoidable aswell, while to some degree you can parry/block with it.
the rest of the weapons should be able to parry/block

stamina mechanic could just be thrown out of window, and a new stamina mechanic like in H&G or red orchestra 2 could be implemented, this would be much more favourable as opposed to the walking simulator of a stamina mechanic which we have right now

Interesting idea. If this could be implemented, it would be great fun.
I would like to see them hit each other with shovels! With extreme fighting conditions, Enlisted would be a unique WW2 FPS like no other.


Perhaps, most of the time, you might be shot dead by other soldiers while you are fighting. lol

that makes me think, in order to prevent 100% dead on laser precise one-shots by the bots while charging towards them, the bots should have a suppression mechanic where if you charge towards them, their aim isnt as great, and they’re basically startled and their aim is less accurate, meaning you have a higher chance of wiping out the entire group of soldiers in one go

imagine re-enacting metal gear: rising only to get one shotted by a bot mid epic swordfight
