Your thoughts on Ver-ser-mer assault

I have played this map only from the side of the allies, and basically I think it is hopeless to try and win on the attackers side, as having to coordinate pushes on 2 points simultaneously is essentially impossible for a group of random people. My feeling is that the Germans have it easy (as they should, defense is supposed to be) but unlike invasion where everyone has to focus on only one objective, or even conquest which requires both teams to focus on 3, assault makes it disproportionately difficult for the allies to win.

Maybe closer spawns, or limiting the rate of Germans spawns a bit may help alleviate this issue, however I haven’t played on the axis side yet. What are your thoughts?

Yeah they need to tweak it I think this is the map where before you even get close to the objective you start taking incoming fire. Things should perhaps be to where the Germans are more advantaged at staying more in place than attacking the attacker at the same time. A lot of it though depends on the team you get many times the teams are not good if your on a good team its great.

Of course what is worse than all of this is the planes that just constantly bomb ya I think War Thunder and this should not even have planes there is enough crap to have to deal with. Oh how does one shoot down a plane … oh yeah hopefully an engineer squad is present then hopefully the engineer guy puts down an aa gun then hopefully they know how to use it. One map recently I had a fighter but it never would let me use it and the enemy kept bombing us.

So now I never have a fighter squad I just have a tank choice instead.

Attackers already get first point (A) basically for free, bacause all defenders spawn on B or default spawns. All they have to do is use their brains and cooperate instead of capturing one point and then all running to the second one.
I’ve seen rounds where we stopped the attack on the first two points but also rounds where attackers went through the defences like knife through butter. It all depends on the team.

The reason why some side gets stomped is mostly because no one builds spawnpoints. I won two matches as german last time and both times the allies didnt place a single spawn, while we had 3 up.

I also managed to win as attackers on assault and all I can say is, that losing attacking teams are doing three major mistakes which can be solved by using at least a few brain cells.

  1. No rally points no matter the distance
  2. Attacking in large groups on one cap while not bothering with the second (and leaving capped zone undefended afterwards) and vice versa (defenders have a very easy time with recapturing)
  3. Not defending cap they managed to capture

If attackers manage to not commit to these three mistakes they have a good chance of winning equal to defenders. If attackers commit to these core mistakes they honestly deserve that defeat.

Rally points are the biggest cause for a loss especially on assault. If defenders have them up theyll always re cap and if attackers never build one they’ll never make it in time. People need to bring engineers and stop ignoring how much power they have

It is pretty easy to win as Allies. I have won every assault because I play mostly with my friend in a platoon, I always take and hold the A side while he takes and holds the B side cap points.
We both run engineers in our squads so we both build a rally point always close to the cap point and our team just floods the objectives. We can win this match win 300+ spare tickets so from my Experience it is pretty easy but we are winning pretty much 60-65% of our matches (invasion on Normandy same story)…

yup, as soon as one side discovers enginers its GG. If both sides use them, the matches get pretty intense.

Thats basically how it feels for me, I can cap and mostly hold a single point, but not 2 at once.
Having even a single other person coordinating with you can ofc change the course of the game.

While I agree, it seems the ones I make on this map (specifically this one) seem to always be destroyed, so where do you guys tend to make them? (for both a and b)

I usually make mine in the forest (on the right side of A and C) by A and by C, maybe around 60-70m away from A and about 90-110m away from C. First I try to ‘recon’ the area after building mine and defend my rally point I usually start pushing only when atleast one more player squad spawns on my location.
